In an industry dominated by the latest fashion trend, Gaerne retains their identity as artists of the fit. The term "Handmade in Italy" has never been more appropriate than when used to describe the fit of the G.Keira Plus.
Strengths: Lightweight, good tread, very comfortable, good strap system, sexy as hell in white
Weaknesses: none yet?
I've been riding with these shoes for a little over two months now. They are awesome. Super comfortable and the sizing chart on gaerneshoes.com proved accurate. They are definitely on the expensive side but I wanted a quality shoe for mountain biking, road riding and CX. The SIDI dominators I had before these were very flexy. I have been loving the stiffness of the carbon sole on these shoes. They feel great and look pro. Very happy with them so far.
My only complaint is that I scraped one of the shoes really badly on a big rock along the trail and it took off some of the finish. Where the shiny white shell material had been was a scar showing a biege layer underneath. Believe it or not, I actually put some whiteout on the scar and you can't really tell (although the shoes are usually a little dirty anyway which helps).
