Submitted by Vossers a Cross Country Rider from Cape Town, South Africa
Date Reviewed: June 5, 2003
Favorite Trail:Harkesville, Knysna
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $36.00
Purchased At:dal Caop
Strengths:Cheap and durable for price
Weaknesses:After a year the soles are SHOT. Also not much traction when you need to walk up steep single track sections.
Similar Products Used:Diadora Geko
Bike Setup:Cannondale hardtail
Bottom Line:A good shoe for the price. As an entry level shoe I would recommend it. Only lasted a year - you get what you pay for - but the shoe got put through ALLOT of riding.

Submitted by Fooz a Weekend Warrior from Cape Town, South Africa
Date Reviewed: August 27, 2002
Favorite Trail:Tokai Forest
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $36.00
Purchased At:Del Capo Cycles
Strengths:Cheap, Sturdy sole, More comfortable than my Diadora road cycling shoes costing more than double.
Weaknesses:Will find out with extended use. Didn't find the cleat plate as problematic as some other reviewer. Maybe his knee problem is his bike setup? (lower the saddle *cough*)
Similar Products Used:Normal Nike trainers? :P
Bike Setup:Giant Sedona, RST Forks
Bottom Line:Will see how the shoe takes the weekend beatings I give it. Was substantially cheaper than even the entry level Diadora Cayman etc. And for once a week use we'll see.

Submitted by Todd Scott a Racer from Royal Oak, MI
Date Reviewed: June 26, 2000
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Strengths:relatively light
secured tongue for fast foot entries
Weaknesses:cleat plates are immoveable and not accurately set
Similar Products Used:SIDI, Lake, Northwave, Shimano
Bottom Line:I plan on returning these shoes. Even at half off MSRP, it's not worth the knee problems associated with having incorrectly positioned cleat plates. I find it hard to believe that a company would make a shoe where you can't move the cleat plates (they appear to be glued in position, how handy) and where they don't take the time to at least line them up the same.
