Date Reviewed: December 4, 2008
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $130.00
Purchased At:mail order
Strengths:Gonna skip to the WEAKNESS since it way outweighs and nullifies any strengths
Weaknesses:The stitching on the padding around the heel comes into direct contact rubbing your heel.
Similar Products Used:Diador Chili's maybe 6 or 7 years, thats why I ordered Diadora again, plus Nashbar and Performance way back when.
Bike Setup:Cannondale Killer V
Bottom Line:Went out on a nice wet ride to break these things in. My left heel in particular started hurting. Just had to grimace and ride back home. 2 weeks later Due to snow couldn't ride til yesterday, went out forgetting the heel pains. Only a quick pre-work hour ride but still post ride soreness. NOT why I buy a shoe. Hoping duck tape over the stiching might help but I usually reserve duck tape for keeping old things I like together not alliviating problems in bad designs.

Favorite Trail:powerline
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $90.00
Strengths:Good buckle and Velcro system. Uppers wore well. Sole also wore well.
Weaknesses:Sole starting to split from upper. Narrow Toe.
Similar Products Used:Answer, Nike, Chuck Taylors
Bike Setup:Santa Cruz Superlight, XT, King, Thompson, WTB, Rithcey, Scott Bars, Nevegal
Bottom Line:Decent shoe. Good buckle and Velcro. Uppers wearing great considering many Eastern mud/rain races. Pretty comfortable once I got used to narrow (aerodynamic?)toe. Unfortunately the sole is splitting from upper after one year and couple thousand miles, not bad. Will be trying Sidi's next.

Favorite Trail:Downieville
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $60.00
Purchased At:Ebay
Strengths:Great killer looking,
pretty light and stiff. Rachet system is neat.
Weaknesses:Too narrow at toes, Not much tread on bottom
Similar Products Used:Shimano, Lake, Victorria
Bike Setup:Motolite, Sugar, Commencal
Bottom Line:Too narrow for my regular feet that I have to sell it after one ride. size 42 equels to size 8, not 8.5 claimed. otherwise a great looking XC shoes with top-notch retention system.
