Strengths: Light & stiff. The non-carbon soles felt stiffer than carbon soles on a specialized shoe with a comparable MSRP. I got these way cheaper. Weaknesses: The upper around the toe feels like it's a bit chintzy, but there's no sign of breakdown after a few rides....the heel is solid. Not carbon, if that's a problem to you. The tread seems to be of a higher durometer than I'm used to. I'm wondering I will be skating on those rock gardens I have to hike-a-bike through. Bottom Line: They fit pretty well. They felt just as good as comparable shoes and had a stiffer sole. I bought these because I got them pretty cheap.
