Strengths: value, tractionWeaknesses: no lacesBottom Line: I buy Diadora's because they fit my (wider) foot nicely. For a while they had plastic soles, which got very slippery on wet rocks. These are an improvement, traction wise, as the sole has rubber on it.
All the others I've owned had laces and velcro, wheras these only have velcro. I thought with three straps they would be nice and tight, but they feel a bit "mushy" on my foot, and often have to be re-strapped suring a ride. The ones with laces always stayed tight.
They are a cheaper shoe, so it shouldn't be a surprise that they aren't the greatest. Still, they do the job.

Strengths: Light, solid shoe with great power transferWeaknesses: Doesnt conform to my foot perfectly (i have weird feet. long and flat)Bottom Line: Good shoe, very aggressive looking. The sole does not flex at all, so this is no casual touring shoe, its meant to haul butt. And it does that very well. Would be better is they were lace up to allow a more custom fit.

Strengths: Very tight fit, light, little break-in time, good traction when walking, fairly easy to clip in.Weaknesses: Could use a little more arch support, and the velcro fasteners could be longer. Also, when I bought my first pair of these shoes, one of the tacks that holds the shoe together managed to work it's way through the insole and into the bottom of my heel. REI replaced them right away, and the new ones heven't given me any trouble.Bottom Line: A pretty good shoe.
