Date Reviewed: November 6, 2009
Favorite Trail:Camp Brady Saunders, Goochland, VA
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $130.00
Purchased At:Bike Lane
Strengths:Footbed, carbon, comfort
Weaknesses:rachet buckles bend easily on impact
Similar Products Used:Diadora Chilis
Bike Setup:07 Ellsworth Truth
Bottom Line:Comfortable shoe, very stiff and gives great power. I like the fit and that version I have is woman's specific. The insert is in pieces so you can customize the fit, I believe you can also buy other inserts to suite your size/shape. I like that you can replace the buckles since I bent one in a low speed crash. I was a little annoyed I had to buy the replacement piece from a shop/not on line, but the fact that I could replace it was key and it was only $9. I'd buy again. For the $ I think they're really good shoes. I had been saving for Sidi's, but these were a good investment.

Date Reviewed: June 9, 2009
Favorite Trail:All of Oak Mt.
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $140.00
Purchased At:Homewood Cycles
Strengths:Very stiff. Good pedaling efficiency. Ratcheting top strap. Middle price. Good looks. Good fit. Comfortable toe room. Carbon sole.
Weaknesses:Ratchet seems somewhat weak, but works fine.
Similar Products Used:None. This is my first pair of cycling shoe.
Bike Setup:08' GF Marlin.
Avid BB7 w/ Shimano XTR levers.
Shimano M520 pedals.
Sette 7 Flat bar and old set of bar ends.
Bottom Line:These shoes are a great investment! I use them every ride. I really can tell the difference with them. They enable me to go farther on less energy and I feel less tired after that big day of riding. I also can pick up speed faster and stay at that pace easier and longer. GET THESE SHOES!

Submitted by Troutfarm a Cross Country Rider from Auburn, CA, US
Date Reviewed: April 24, 2009
Favorite Trail:Pauly Creek
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $140.00
Purchased At:Bike Emporium
Strengths:Light, Stiff, Comfortable
Weaknesses:Not as stiff as some other shoes.
Similar Products Used:Pearl Izumi carbon.
Bike Setup:1 speed steel rigid 29er
Bottom Line:My cat pissed in my $250 shoes. Didn't want to risk another $200 plus. Turns out, these ended up being better shoes. My old shoes are now "cat piss decoys". Can't beat this deal with a stick. Carbon soles and a nice big toe box for this kind of money. If you don't need fancy italian leather, this is a great shoe.
