Strengths:    Looks, soft sole, breathe well.

Weaknesses:    Straps, the velcros on the shoe are a bit small and don't grab that well,

The ratcheting system is really sub par for a shoe at this price range.

The release mechanism is a pain to use and sometimes you have to pull.

Bottom Line:
The release lever broke without being hit while riding, still wonder how it broke. Took about two weeks the get the buckles warrantied and not in the correct color.

The fit isn't that good, a bit narrow IMO. The sizing is correct but my heels are loose and my toes tight, they just don't feel right.

Also, have a hard time clipping in to my eggbeaters even using the cleat spacers.

Other than the good looks this shoes aren't that good.

Strengths:    These shoes are very comfortable and look awesome while they last. Decent for hiking your bike.

Weaknesses:    Shoes cant hold up to average single track conditions. Not durable. Velcro straps already going bad. Strap system is very poor.

Bottom Line:
2nd ride I broke my clip. Took it to the local trek store got em swapped out. Did it again. Swapped out. The strap that goes through the clip broke off today about 4 miles in. Shop only trades them in under warranty so I'm gonna swap them out again and buy shoes somewhere else and have them as an extra pair. I've developed a negative bias towards bontrager and they will not see me again. If your delicate on your shoes and want something for riding gravel trails try them out.

Strengths:    good ventilation while maintaining awesome protection for you foot. Great power transfer yet still flexible enough to hike in. straps are good but not the best. light shoe (i wear a size 13 so i won't bother posting that weight it changes per size of shoe).

Weaknesses:    The Damn clip that pulls the top most strap in. I broke the lever the first ride trying to tighten it. i'm too lazy to get it replaced and it still functions without it. but it was a bummer to break my new 160 dollar shoes before my first ride in them.

Not that great of grip not clipped in,

Bottom Line:
worth the money. more trail/AM styled.
