Anything that flows.
Duration Product Used:
Less than 1 month
Purchased At:
pro deal
Strengths:
Inexpensive, comfortable, good grip when off the bike and climbing trails.
Weaknesses:
none yet. possibly, poor power transfer but I don't pay attn to that jargon.
Similar Products Used:
Shimano cheapos.
Bike Setup:
Klein Adept Pro w/ XT and Rolf wheels
Kona Major One - upgrades are unimportant
Bottom Line:
Good shoes for the price, very comfortable, great grip. Love 'em.
The only problem - it took forever to figure out how to install the cleats. On most shoes the rubber bit on the sole of the shoes that covers the rails that you screw the cleats into just pops off. With these you have to cut off that little rubber bit. I did this by making a slit at the top and pealing them back. Other than this little design flaw, I like them lots. More than enough shoe for the average rider/average racer.

Duration Product Used:

Purchased At:
Bike World (San Anto
Strengths:
Great Tread. Wide. Really Comfortable.
Weaknesses:
The holes not being cut out confused the heck out of me at first.
Bike Setup:
29er hardtail
Bottom Line:
Took me 6 months to find shoes that fit my feet. Everything I found was too narrow. These fit great, and are more comfortable than most shoes I own. I forget that I have them on after I get done riding.
I thought the tread would get in the way but it doesn't at all. I got caught in a down pour the other day and they did great at keeping the water out, probably 5 minutes of a good Texas thunderstorm that my feet stayed dry.
Oh and those adjustable insoles are great to.

Duration Product Used:

Price Paid:
$90.00
Strengths:
Affordable, comfortable, great insole, good traction for rocky sections of hike-a-bike. WIDE!!!
Weaknesses:
Poor construction - came unglued and had to repair them with shoe goo, worked fine since then. Heavy.
Bike Setup:
Rigid, Single-speed El Mariachi
Bottom Line:
Even though the soles came unglued very early in their life they were still a decent deal since they repaired easily with shoe goo and I haven't had trouble with them since. They are a good shoe for all conditions, wore them through the winter of many sub-freezing rides and they were comfortable and warm enough. If you need a solid beater shoe that you don't mind getting muddy then this is the one. And did I mention they are WIDE!!!!
