Submitted by Kerrnel a Racer from Humboldt County, CA.
Date Reviewed: November 27, 2008
Favorite Trail:Redwood Empire BMX Track
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $60.00
Purchased At:J&R Bicycles
Strengths:The raised inner ankle is the main reason I bought these shoes. Velcro straps instead of laces like Shimano. The sole is stiff enough for BMX. They're comfortable too, you can walk around in them after racing. They've taken a beating - wet condtions, mud - and stayed intact. The only wear is on the inner ankle where these shoes are protecting my ankles from my Profile crank arms, just rub marks, no tears. Good price too.
Weaknesses:Kind of bulky and heavy, I only say this because I had been wearing Sidi bullets. You also have to cut out a little more around the cleat mounts.
Similar Products Used:Vans with the raised inner ankle, from about 8 years ago.
Bike Setup:BMX - S&M .38 Special, S&M Race XLT forks, Profile cranks, Stealth hubs on Rhyno lites, Maxxis Holy Rollers, Campy Record headset, S&M Race XLT stem, Fly JB bars, Avid Ultimate brakes, Shimano 545's, Thomson post.

MTB/Dual Slalom/MTX - 2000 Voodoo Shango - Red/Silver Aluminum. Marz DJ, Shimano XT on Sun Single Tracks,Maxxis High Rollers/Larsens, Avid Mech. disc, Profile BMX cranks/Evolution bb, Kore pedals King headset, S&M Redneck stem,Bontrager Crow bars, XT brake levers, shifters, der.
Bottom Line:Great price on a great shoe for BMX, MTB, Dual Slalom, Mt. Cross, and DH.
