Strengths: Great fit/comfy Better support that low-cut bike shoes Seem easier to clip in and out than bike shoes Better traction Look better than low-cut bike shoes
Weaknesses: Heavier than bike shoes
Bottom Line:
Comfort and support can't be beat for the price. If you are not racing, these are the shoes for you - the offer better support and traction than regular bike shoes and look alot better. They are also alot better than bike shoes if you have any climbing or hiking to do.
I have found exit and entry into my eggbeaters to be easier as well since I have switched to the Addidas.

Strengths: Nice fit, stiff, comfortable, ankle support, ankle protection, price, price, price and they look great.
Weaknesses: Velcro lace strap really dosen't do much at all.
Bottom Line:
For $40.00 i don't see how you can go wrong. I'm using the Shimano M646 pedals and they work great with them. These are not race shoes so do not compare the two but for weekend warrior's, trail riders and freeriders i think these shoes would be great.

Strengths: Man, I purchased these HOT sneaks just cause of there style. I meant they just look mean, and are unique, the fact that they are SPD compatible only made the purchase more of a sure shot. That guy who wrote the first review is a bonehead, what do you expect for a pair of what truely are sneakers for your bike that attach to special pedals, and for the 40 bux I paid for them how could you ever note any weakness. CLown that guy.
Weaknesses: Please reread the product strengths!!!!
Bottom Line:
Cop this sneakers at nashbar for the price they have 'em on sale for, they look sleek and are good on your bike. Peace, LoVe and cannibis grease.ONE. EASY.
Bike Setup: I'm am very proud to ride my Clyde, which is an awesome city bike with the 4 speed internal shimano gears in the rear hub. At the 4 bills I paid for it before tax, I feel that it was worth every bang for every buck. It's swift and the handling is crisp down to the bone, I wish it was a little lighter, but hey, I still love it. I even dream at nite about making love to it. I have dipped on so many city clowns on this bike.

Strengths: Inexpensive, gusseted tongue, good outsole traction, lace keeper
Weaknesses: Wide internally and externally, spd mounting plate too flexible
Bottom Line:
This shoe is okay, but if you have ever had on a fine pair of Italian cycling togs you will be very disappointed. The spd cleat mounts to a sole plate that is not sufficiently stiff. This is especially vexing when doing snap pedal exits as the plate deflects slightly and slows pedal exit.
The shoe itself is not especially comfortable for something designed for hike a bike, and it is wide. The lacing system is not advanced and does not distribute pressure evenly through the tongue. The upper cuff of the shoes is not very supportive unless you have cankles and if you have cankles you don't need the support of the cuff.
The outsole is fine and the shoe looks pretty good, but I was very dissappointed with it from a performance aspect, and I am sending them back. They're entry level shoes, and perform as such. I was looking for a shoe that would let me only have to take one pair of shoes for my ride to work and subsequent workday. They were not very good in either phase with the exception that they don't look like cycling geek shoes, but I guess for $50 close outs from Performance I should not have expected much.
