Strengths:    So light & small that it'll fit in a jersey pocket. Bomber waterproof. Did I mention it was light. Does what it should, keep you dry. The proprietary gore-tex like membrane works well. The collar has a bit of thin fuzzy fleece. Doesn't seem important until you compare it to a cold & wet jacket without this excellent detail.

Weaknesses:    Pit zips could be longer but that's a minor complaint & might make the jacket heavier, less packable and ... nevermind, no complaints

Bottom Line:
This jacket is awesome. Instead of having to decide whether to bring the light jacket or the heavy jacket bring this one with the strengths of a meaty goretex thing and approaching the weight of the light jackets. I've used it on the trail and xc skiing. Yes it is expensive but it'll reward you with warm rides through the ugliest of storms.

While I've crashed (including a pavement crash on snow) wearing it and nary a rip, given its weight, it's not well suited for constant abuse. Sugoi makes a version of this with reinforcements for such a purpose. But then you lose the ultralightweight feature. Ahhh choices

Strengths:    Keeps you dry and doesn't feel like you're wearing a plastic bag. Windproofing is great; cycling in 100km/h wind & rain in Canada is not a problem.

Weaknesses:    Expensive for a shell. Pockets are not waterproof unless draw-string is tight. Actually forget about even using the pockets unless you want to look mis-shapen and fat. Lighter colours get dirty and stay dirty. Yellow makes you look like a rent-a-cop. (could be a good thing?)

Bottom Line:
Very versatile, light waterproof jacket for year-round use; cycling, running, anything. No lining, so wear long sleeves underneath. Perfect for wet coast weather.
