Strengths: An incredible amount of thought has gone into the design of this product. The little features like the thumb loops, snug hood and pit-zips all add up to a dreamy user experience. My storm trooper has been my constant companion for over 5 years of commuting, touring, mtbing, hiking and drinking, and only now is it starting to get a bit worn out. Still waterproof though!Bottom Line: It's probably overkill if you're the type who doesn't go out in the rain, but if it rains where you live and you like bikes, this jacket will improve your quality of life heaps.

Strengths: keeps you dry! lightweight! Folds into its back pocket so it can be worn like a "fanny pack" or kidney saver.
this jacket takes a beating, it is yet to rip or puncture despite my trashing.
I have been wearing this jacket ontop of a helly hansen thermal for warmth rather than wearing a polartec/fleece and then having to carry it on my back. It suprisingly keeps me really warm.
The guys at ground effects have amazing customer service.Weaknesses: None, this jacket has performed better than expected.Bottom Line: it keeps you dryer than expected, stores well, strong without feeling like a 1930s wetsuit.
The hood fold well and zips like a collar and doesnt get in the way like I thought it might. Whilst the hood has minimal use to me for riding, its great when you stack and have to walk home..................

Strengths: Most lightweight severe-winter-worthy jacket I've tried, very durable. Simple to pack/unpack in large rear pocket. Nicely shaped hood fits well under helmet, zips away. Easy to lower/raise sleeves for cooling, but can clamp down for heavy rain. No heavy smelly mesh liner. Orange color excellent for visibility (hunters or cars), reflective tape well placed.Weaknesses: A little large - unzipped acts as parachuteBottom Line: Great Jacket
