Date Reviewed: June 5, 2008
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $50.00
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:As previous poster my skull clearly is more oblong/elliptical than circular. This helmet is one of very few I have found (plus my Etto, and a little less so the Met Volo/Formula) that fits this shape.
Quite well ventilated.
Entry level price.
Includes removable visor.
Weaknesses:Straps prone to get pinched between helmet and skull when putting it on. The buckle at the Y-section (under the ears) does not grip the straps all that well, so do not tug on the buckles. One of the to adjusting ratchets on the back did not work on mine; but one will do the job alone... :)
Similar Products Used:Etto Panther
Bike Setup:Bianchi XL roadbike. Commuter mtb - no suspension, road slicks.
Bottom Line:Very reasonably priced, but it does show in the build/detail quality.
A must-try for us less-circulars who find most helmets wobbling side-to-side.

Date Reviewed: May 15, 2006
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $40.00
Purchased At:local bike shop
Strengths:Great fitting helmet for those of us with oval-shaped heads (when viewed from above). Very comfortable, visor stays on fine & is good for clipping a mirror to, if you commute as I do. If you find your helmets have too much space on the sides, then this is a good helmet! Cooling vents work well, ;&: comfortable retaining system. For $40 the quality was comparable to a $140 Giro E2.
Weaknesses:straps get dirty, none others.
Similar Products Used:Giro E2, various Bell helmets.
Bike Setup:commuter
Bottom Line:Great for oval heads!
