I got in a pretty severe road wreck this afternoon, and after 3 hours in the Emergency room, I got a glimpse of what was left of my helmet...Shattered! The doctor commented that had I not been wearing a helmet I would have likely been left in a coma or been killed. Even if the design of the Qranc Ice Qube wasn't the reason I'm sitting here writing this comment, I sure am glad I was wearing it! | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada Date Reviewed: July 19, 2000 | | Favorite Trail: | highway 16-x | | Duration Product Used: | 3 months | | Strengths: | The helmet was cheap because it was a closeout. The color is nice, bright. It fits my head really well without any movement during riding and the kevlar reinforced straps resist deformation while the effective sweat pads absorb profuse prespiration before any can get into my eyes. | | Weaknesses: | The visor is mounted with sticky patches that have velcro on one side. One pair of these velcro thingies fell off after only half a year and now my visor stays only on the floor. The design is showing its age and is not nearly as cool as the newer helmets like the exodus and the gt helmets. | | Similar Products Used: | bucket, baseball cap, cowboy hat, catinthehat hat. | | Bike Setup: | wheels, handlebar, seat, etc. | | Bottom Line: | A good helmet that is good because of it's color, fit, and rarity. Not many people have this helmet, it is no where as popular as the bell's and giro's. This is both good and bad - good for the distinction, bad for the chances of it being as safe as the more popular models. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

So, after several wash ups, the pad broke. I replaced original pad with pad from previous briko helmet. Helmet is well made, has an excellent strap adjusting system, ventilation is also good, fits my head well. I was pleased to find out that when I turn my head, helmet also turns, what was not the case with briko helmet. Helmet for the pros. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

The is the best helmet i've owned. I've found that bell evo2 and pretty much all bell helmets to be just awful to this. The visor is great, it's sort of a rubber/plastic so it's not going to shatter when you take it off and the chin strap doesn't buckle in directly under your chin, instead there's a padding under your chin, also you can adjust the web system really well since there are 3 pts to adjust at. It only cost me 65 at cbo marked down from 120 :) | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

from SF,CA Date Reviewed: August 19, 1998 | | Bottom Line: | This is a pretty cool helmet. I had a Specialized Air Wave or something like that before, and this provides more coverage on the back and sides. The fit is very adjustable and easy. The only thing about this helmet is the sides are really thick so it looks kinda funny, but it could just be me. Overall good fit, good looks , good ventilation, light weight, a good helmet. If you don't want to be part of the mainstream where everybody on the trail wears the same thing this is the helmet to get. | Overall Rating: |

This summer I got the Qranc Ice cube Helmet. What I've found is that helmet is much cooler than my previous helmets. It has great ventilation and a stylish visor. The best feature though, is the kevlar woven into the straps. It keeps the straps from stretching when they become saturated with sweat. No need to readjust mid-way through a ride. | Overall Rating: |
