Submitted by Enns Boy a from Manitoba Canada
Date Reviewed: July 21, 2004
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $120.00
Purchased At:sport check
Strengths:awsome helmet. i stay cool even hot a 30'C day. vents well, cool colours (flame job) and the visor is good
Weaknesses:well, i dont have goggles, i never really found a reasone to wear them in manitoba, but apparently the goggle strap has nowhere to sit in the back because of the buldge. i say the strap could just go in the bottom half.. i dont see the big deal
Bike Setup:nearly stock 2003 Giant AC1
Bottom Line:sweet helmet, and its got a medium price.. so why not.. its pretty freakin light too.

Favorite Trail:nicole's
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $100.00
Purchased At:cap's (crap's)
Strengths:vey strong visor hasn't even come close to snapping on some big wipe outs. comfortable and good for freeriding
Weaknesses:you have to kinda make your own goggle holder in the back because of the bulge. otherwise the fall off.
Similar Products Used:none
Bike Setup:gt (but getting a devinci hucker) rockshox psylo, husselfelts.
Bottom Line:very strong visor has to be hit pretty hard to even come close to braking. it can get pretty hot. would be better if it didn't have that bulge on the back

Date Reviewed: April 4, 2004
Favorite Trail:Kanata Lakes
Duration Product Used:Tested or demo'ed only
Price Paid: $75.00
Purchased At:Toronto Bike Show
Strengths:The weight, the design, the fit, and the vents.
Weaknesses:Haven't found any yet. The winter hinders on my ability to ride.
Similar Products Used:First fullface
Bike Setup:2001 Norco Buzz, 2001 Bomber Z5, Grimeca Mechanical discs
Bottom Line:The bottom line is the helmet fits, looks, and feels sweet. The price quoted is in Canadina dollars. The vents was a big factor for me cuz I sweat like a leaky bucket. I love the colours of the helmet. It is black and looks virtually identical to the Troy Lee Designs black Hot Wheels full face. By no means am I comparing TLD with the LGI Buzz 2 but the look is virtually identical.

A sweet helmet for a sweet price

Date Reviewed: July 8, 2003
Favorite Trail:urban assualt
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $100.00
Purchased At:Bowcycle
Strengths:actually a review for Buzz 2 -- looks pretty good, comes in a few pretty slick colors, mesh in the mouth vents (loox cool AND has benefits to keep twigs and most bugs out!), saved my sparkly whites on more than one occasion, one piece fiberglass, moderately adjustable visor, fits snugly
Weaknesses:HOT! temp wise golly, but then again it IS a DH lid, which comes with the xtra protection u get, awkward goggle placement -- they sorta sit on the bulge thing at the back,
Similar Products Used:sixsixone full bravo (also very nice helmet -- especially the carbon fiber one *drool*), bell bellistic, Race Face, Troy Lee
Bike Setup:not that this has anything to do with anything, but Planet X -- budget/dream setup
Bottom Line:for about 100 bux canadian it's a steal, fits more snugly than the bell bellistic and various other brands -- i wasn't much a fan of LG, but for once this helmet is pretty darn good, and there are actaully vents in the top -- no matter how small they are, every little bit counts!

if you have the money -- Troy Lee
if you don't -- Louis Garneau
if you wanna graduate -- SixSixOne Full Bravo Carbon

Date Reviewed: March 11, 2003
Favorite Trail:Black Diamonds X 2
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $80.00
Purchased At:Direct (I got connections)
Strengths:Actually reviewing the 2003 Buzz 2: Badass looks, decent weight relative to other DH lids, one piece construction, steel mesh vent coverings (to keep twigs from penetrating your skull - a good thing!), comfy padding, padding cutout to allow for the use of regular eyewear, kevlar-reinforced construction (kevlar is the fibre used in bullet-proof vests)
Weaknesses:Funky design has aero protrusion in the rear that might impede the use of goggles....might have to use tie wraps to secure goggle straps
Similar Products Used:Troy Lee Raceface, Louis Garneau ski (bad idea)
Bike Setup:Is this relevant?
Bottom Line:Seriously, guys (and girls), you will not be embarassed with this wicked helmet strapped to your head this season, and you can laugh at your friends who spent piles of cash on Giro Switchblades, Mad Maxes, or anything Troy Lee (nice stuff, but overpriced)

Favorite Trail:bing bang
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $75.00
Purchased At:La Cordée
Strengths:Nice shape, not too tight, more air holes than the bellistic, visor look's tought. I like the clip in strap.
Weaknesses:A bit more eavier than i taught, the strap is a bit uncomfortable the first time you wear it, but you get used to it when in ridding position.
Similar Products Used:Bellistic pro.
Bottom Line:Nice freeride helmet, good price for the value.
Plus it look awesome.
I like my choice.

Date Reviewed: January 21, 2002
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $120.00
Purchased At:CRAPS!
Strengths:Cheap, Strong, Keeps your head cool, can take a whack and keep on chuggin, (believe me :)) strong visor, comfortable.
Weaknesses:Some problems getting correct fit.
Similar Products Used:None, unless you count my old bell. (not fullface)
Bike Setup:Kona Scab, Z5 130mm, Matrix Stem, Titec Berzerker saddle, SRAM 9.0 levers, SRAM centera shifters etc..
Bottom Line:Great helmet, well worth what you pay.. great protection for freeriding.. already put a nice chip in the visor, hit it very hard but didn't even come close to snapping it, strong. Very thick plastic outer shell, comes in handy for the little smacks.

A very good helmet worth every penny, BTW that is CDN dollars, paid $120 no tax.
