The Giro Atmos continues to set the standard for high performance, matchless style, and a comfortable fit. It's low profile silhouette, 26 Wind Tunnel vents, and carbon reinforced Roll Cage make it a top choice for road, cross, and XC riders alike.
I got this thing as a gift which is awesome because I'd never buy such an expensive helmet. When I put it on, it just disappeared on my head and I didn't think about it till I took it off at the end of the ride. Great helmet.
Weaknesses: Wind noise seems to have increased a little over my last helmet....Expensive
Great Helmet, looks good, and is very light. Found it very easy to fit and feels way better than my $60 Bell Helmet. There seems to be more wind noise. I suspect it is because it sits higher above my ears than my las one.
Anyone know is the Atmos's 25 frame sits lower than the 35,
the 35 frame sits pretty prominent above the shoulder straps and looks like it would butt up against the helmet, havent found a store that stocks the 25 to look at

While I was at REI today, I came across this super nice Giro Atmos for only $99. Normally, they are $175. Even though the color wasn't my first choice, I bought it anyway since an Atmos in Large is difficult to find on sale.

I'm looking at buying an Atmos for XC riding/racing. I took a look at the Giro website, but didn't notice any changes from the '07 model.
Are there any changes to the '08 model??
Is there any reason to dish out an extra $30-40 for the '08??Read More »
