Strengths: Moving from a Giro E2 to the Aeon, I wasn't sure how big of a difference there would be. However, the 100*+ weather we've been having in Austin made me desperate enough to drop $250 on the Aeon to see if I could get any more relief.
In short, NIGHT AND DAY difference. The Aeon is significantly lighter, fits better (thanks to new RL), and most importantly has a dramatic increase in airflow. No more trapped hot air inside the helmet.
In this heat, this was the best $250 investment I've made to date.Weaknesses: Cost. The price is borderline insane. Worth it, but insane.Bottom Line: If you're riding in 100*+ weather, I don't know how you can do much better than this. Your wallet will hate you for it, but one hot ride later you'll stop caring. Worth the money...
