Strengths:    a real full face helmet with a lot of protection.
good peripherical vision.
holds the goggles where you set them.
confortable inside removal pads.(i just machine wash them after each downhill session and after 2 seasons they still look good)
clean and stylish look.
gives u the confidence to go bigger.

Weaknesses:    its heavy.
its very hot in there.
the bolts that secures the center of the visor easily strips.
fox doesnt provide an additional visor.if you break one, getting a replacement from those guys at fox is like winning at the lottery.

Bottom Line:
if u mostly do d.h. the fox tracer is an affordable fullface
that will give you the confidence of a dot approved and snell memorial helmet.(can be used for mx riding and other motorized sports also).
looks good to.
best alternative until u get a carbon tld.

Strengths:    Strong SUPER Strong shell can withstand a TON of abuse! Plenty of room so your breathing is not restricted. Washable inner liner makes for it to stay clean, Breathable front vent lets fresh air in so you can breath easy. Movable visor so it can be postioned the way ya like it. Plus overall it lokks BAD A$$!!

Weaknesses:    HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT!! Did I mention it was HOT!! This helmet has ZERO venting but it is the price you pay for one that is so protective! D-Ring chinstrap for a helmet of this quality it should have a quicker release system.

Bottom Line:
AWSOME helmet if you can find it cheap on ebay!! This is one of the best helmets I've used!! Definatly worth it! It is very hot under there but your wearing a fullface helmet what do you expect! It did it's job today came down off a nice Huck and went over the bars onto my head!!! I didn't feel a thing, I was actually laughing about the crash! I even landed on rocks and still nothing! Love this helmet! Any downhiller or very aggresive freerider should use it! Pass on it fo XC WAY TOO HOT! Plus it looks great even with that deep nasty scratches on it!! PEACE!

Strengths:    Awesome helmet, not too heavy and it really saved my head when i fell on a rock during a Ragged Mountain race, scary sh*t but i was safe, not even a minor concussion.

Weaknesses:    the visor broke off

Bottom Line:
Awesome helmet, buy this if you dont want your brains on the ground. people who should buy this are serious freeride/downhill enthusiasts and dirtjumpers, any one going huge. people who shouldnt buy this are casual riders, for casual riders looking for full face protection i reccomend the 661 full comp helmet.
