The make of these gloves are terrible!!! I've ordered 3 pairs so far, and they've all been crud!
The first pair which i tried first was a large, fit fine, ordered some in and they were WAY too big, not the same as the ones i tried in the shop.
So then i ordered some mediums, and the fingers were all twisted and the wrong lengths. tried on pretty much every other pair in shop and they all had the same problem!
Ordered in a fresh pair hoping the last ones were a bad batch. same problem, twisted fingers and HOLE in the side of the glove!
I bought these thinking they had a good reputation, ive tried on nothing but ill fitting gloves so far from TROY LEE :(
off to but some fox...

Bottom Line:
- Comfort is great - just the right amount of padding without adding too much bulk. I rarely have to remove them to do things involving small-motor movements like unscrewing a valve stem cover or doing trailside repairs with small tools - Fit is wonderful - snug, but not too tight - Even though it's a full-finger glove, it's not too hot in summer. Decent wind and cold protection for mild NorCal winters - Durability is fantastic - all the important parts including stitching, palm padding, velcro fasteners, etc. are holding up great after taking a pounding (this does not the rubber doohickies on the backs that are for appearance - these started falling off after only a few uses, but who cares). I've had several wrecks involving hands-first landings on rocks and hardpack, and these gloves have come through unscathed. The rubberized accents on fingertips that are probably to help grip are pulling off, but I don't notice a lack of grip with them gone. - These wash well without the padding getting hard or cracking - I usually just soak them in water after each sweaty ride and wring them out - no fuss, no stink! - These gloves just look cool! (my gloves look better than the ones pictured above - I think mine are a newer style)

Would not recommend these. Even before they started to split open they just didnt feel as comfortable as Fox gloves. Old saying, "pay cheap, get cheap" well, that fits it. Nuff' said.

I recently purchased the '05 version of this glove. I have a pair I got back in '00 that are still going strong as well. This glove is made well, simple, affordable, and just plain works. They protect your hands and are comfortable to wear all day long even in warmer temps. My only real complaint (and it's a small one) is that the sweat pad on the top of the thumb section has shrunk in size compared to the older model gloves.

Similar Products Used:

Bike Setup:

Bottom Line:
Like my old Troy Lee 'racer gloves' (or whatever they're called), these fit nicely right off the bat. The old gloves had this lycra stuff that stretched around the middle part of the finger that made the glove fit like skin. These gloves dispense with the lycra and use what feels like a tougher material but is still made in the same pattern for good fit.
The back side of the glove is made of tough, umm, fabric and the palm has the leather-like stuff that keeps it together even when sliding into the nearest slick rock. Still like new.
I managed to put a hole in the index finger of one glove but it hasn't grown and I think it was there as a result of me touching something sharp so can't really blame the quality. The fabris used on the back of the glove near the wrist is kinda goofy in my opinion. It's supposed to vent, but reminds me of dishwashing sponges. I don't know if the stuff will last since I crash palm side down ususally, but I guess I'll find out eventually.
Once again, a good pair of gloves for a good price. BTW, Jenson has these on closeout for $19! Whoa.

Weaknesses:

Bottom Line:
I've used these gloves for over a year now and I'm quite happy with them. They don't offer the same protection around the front and knuckles like a typical Fox glove, but the nylon weave there is strong and durable. Not much padding around the palms either, so it helps to have the right grips. Recently, the stitching around some fingertips has come loose, but nothing disastrous, and the velcro doesn't stick as well as it used to. These are by no means winter riding gloves, but you won't freeze your hands off either (just keep pedalling and there's no worries anyway). Get a pair of Foxes for better protection if your bars are tight around trees or if you downhill. Otherwise these are comfortable and ideal for XC riding.

Comfortable, lightweight (good Summer gloves), perfect amount of padding.
Weaknesses:
Didn't last too long, but I abuse gloves.
Similar Products Used:
Fox, Trek, Specialized, Nashbar, Azonic, Answer, lots of others
Bottom Line:
I really liked the gloves, but they only lasted about 6 weeks (about 250 miles) before the seams in the fingers started pulling out. I'll add that one week of that was at Mammoth so I'll agree that these aren't downhill gloves, I suspect that the 100 miles of downhill was probably what did them in. Also, I go through a couple pairs of gloves a season, so I guess I'm hard on them. Trail maintenance probably isn't in the spec, either.
I will buy another pair when I find them on sale and see how they last; they are very nice gloves, in my opinion. Extremely comfortable. The padding is minimal, most of it near the heal of the palm. The stitching in the palm adds a little grip. The uppers breath well, so probably aren't suited to colder weather (but it's a short-fingered glove anyway); my hands stay fairly cool in the Southern California Summer. The closure is one of those plastic tab - velcro things, but unlike others like it, this one doesn't dig into the back of your hand or fall off the glove, so it works well.
In short, these gloves are perfectly suited to XC riding. At $10 on sale they are quite affordable as well. I'm sure they will last much longer if they are used as designed: XC.
I am giving them high rating because they are nice gloves and a bargain if you find them on sale. A normal life-span for gloves with me is about 4 months, but I usually buy heavier gloves. I'll downgrade my rating if the next pair disintegrate (and I don't abuse them).

Excellent Fit and craftsmanship. Padding is right on. Not too hot on the Summer, ideal for Fall riding, in the Winter it wouldn't work, unless you live in Brazil or some warmer country where the temperature doesn't drop too much. Looks good, all colors are great. It's my top pick for a glove presently! Could have a darker color palm, so it doesn't look so dirty after the first ride or crash. With little struggle dirt washes off easily and the glove is looking like new again. Wouldn't change anything else.
