Duration Product Used:

Price Paid:
$50.00
Purchased At:
Willie Engelbrecht Cycles
Strengths:
Nice fit when tried on in the shop. Very lightweight, and the materials used are very soft and comfortable.
Weaknesses:
The leather palm completely disintegrated after about 15 hours of Cross Country use. There is a massive hole at the palm beneath my thumb. Another hole is forming across the palm and I can no longer use these gloves.

Bike Setup:
Koni Muni Mula, standard set up, think I purchased it in 2002.
Bottom Line:
Possibly the worst glove I have ever used. At R400(South African Rand) it was the most expensive glove in the store, but the performance is poor. After about a month I started using my Fox gloves again and I forgot about the Specialized. Three months after purchase and I can no longer use these gloves anymore. Poor quality from what I believed to be a great company.

Duration Product Used:

Strengths:
keeps cool, Sweat wipe, and gel helped
Weaknesses:
For 30 bucks(50 cad), i would expect more Duribility, Within the first 2 days i found a hole at the Seam at wrist, after returning them for a new pair, the same thing happened again!

Bike Setup:
Oryx HTA 125,Rock Shox Duke SL, Shimano XT/XTR, blah blah...
Bottom Line:
If you be really nice to them, they are a great glove, but if you accually need them to last more then a weekend, then go for something more durable. (Fox's have been great for me)

Strengths:
The mesh top is nice. The minimalistic padding is good, also the clarino palm
Weaknesses:
Don't like the full thumb, or the gel pad
Similar Products Used:
Trek
Bike Setup:
2002 Specialized FSR XC Comp
Bottom Line:
When I was looking for new glove I was looking for something with just a leather palm,or as little gel as possible. I went from store to store looking for something. But these were the closest things I could find.
I am very happy with these, despite the things I have said above. The glove is solid, I can't tell I am wearing it on the ride. It doesn't distract me at all.
Bottom Line: Great glove.

Strengths:
Well built, great padding, maintains great grip on the bar on those hot summer days
Weaknesses:
Big, ugly rubber Specialized logo on the back
Bike Setup:
Cannondale F600 Disc, Panaracers Fire XC's, a little bit of Salsa around
Bottom Line:
I really like these golves. They provide great grip no matter what. Also provides some protection when you fall :-) These things would get 5 flames if it wasn't for the stupid rubber logo on the back :-)
