Strengths:    Airy back provides good ventilation on hot rides and BG padding to help with numbness.

Weaknesses:    Poor workmanship. Stitching pulled away in 1 months riding, no crashes or any specific reason other than it is not up to the job of riding off road unless you like replacing gloves every other month. Stitching can pull away under normal use over time but within a month? Specialized agent (Avanti) did not stand behind its warranty saying it was my problem. Are they kidding? Yes I used them, not abused them and they are falling apart way too soon for my liking.

Bottom Line:
Not up to the task unless you like replaceing gloves every other month. Australian distributor (Avanti) does not stand behind its product (Specialized).

Strengths:    the gloves are very comfortable and fit my hands extremly well. have not rode with them on very hot days but so far they seem to be vented well.

Weaknesses:    the palm seems to be wearing fast could be because I ride 3 to 4 days a week. :-) and the padding seems to be in the wrong place. Would like to see a gel pad on the palm instead of on the side of the palm. seems like specialized put the padding in the wrong place.

Bottom Line:
not a bad full finger glove but would like to see more padding on the palm.

Strengths:    Just enough protection but not too hot in the Summer. The fit is great. Will only ride with long gloves after getting 4 stitches while wearing short gloves.

Weaknesses:    None. Well, maybe need more colors to choose from.

Bottom Line:
Won't mountain bike without them.

Long Ridge OSP cave?

Passed a hiker while riding up the singletrack (runs parallel to Portola Heights Road) to the Wallace Stegner bench at the end of Long Ridge Road. He asked me if I saw the cave. I had a WTF look on my face. I thought cave was an acronym for the big group hiking in the park and that he was looking ... Read More »
