Submitted by Mackenzie Lloyd a Weekend Warrior from Belleville Ontario CANADA
Date Reviewed: July 3, 2002
Favorite Trail:my own (no name)
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $30.00
Purchased At:somewhere in Quebec
Strengths:They fit great. And were cheap when i bought them (50% off). i certainly wouldn't pay $60 for em. They look awesome and have great geometry. And enough padding in them.
Weaknesses:3 months after i got them the fingers wore out! After the first couple of rides i noticed they were wearing. I thought i was just breaking them in, because these were my first pair of full fingered gloves. These gloves wore out way too quickly.
Similar Products Used:crumy XC gloves
Bike Setup:GT hardtail
Bottom Line:great gloves. For like, the two minutes after u bring them out of the store. GET FOX or @ least Louis Garneux. don't throw money down the drain, and don't be fooled how good these gloves are at first. Try to look for gloves that have rubber on the finger tips, like Qrank.

Date Reviewed: January 4, 2000
Favorite Trail:
Green mtn/Beaver pond
Duration Product Used:
1 Year
Strengths:
stylish and cool on hot days, padded pretty good on back
Weaknesses:
CHEAP leather and poor construction
Similar Products Used:
fox pawtectors
Bike Setup:
2000 fsr bighit, marzo jr t/xt/xtr,97 fsr comp, rs judy lt/xt/xtr
Bottom Line:i bought these gloves as a replacement for my 7 year old fox paw tectors and after the first ride i knew i was in trouble. the leather is thin and cheap, stitching is coming apart and there is little to no padding on the palm. as soon as they finally wear thru i'll replace them with a new set of pawtectors or troy lee's. dont waste your money. humm maybe this is why they are no longer made.

Favorite Trail:
Will Rogers Backbone
Duration Product Used:
1 Year
Strengths:
They look good and were nice for the first few rides.
Weaknesses:
My fingers tips came through the tips of the gloves. I never even had a chance to fall and see if these glove would actually offer me any prtection. The leather is a very cheap grade. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Date Reviewed: October 17, 1999
Favorite Trail:
wrandees!
Duration Product Used:
1 Year
Strengths:
they look good.
the snot/sweat pad works good.
comfortable.
Weaknesses:
the leather (light colored leather on palm) is crap, and has no durability.
Bike Setup:
Steel Kona
Z2, carbon riser, ....
Bottom Line:These would be good gloves if the leather had any durablilty. After a few months, the leather on the palm started coming apart. It was not caused from abuse or overuse, but the leather has no strength.I sewed some leather on top of the worn areas, but its not a solution. If you look at the leather, with a bright light behind the leather, you can see where the leather is weakest, and will split later.I paid far too much for these gloves - for them to be falling apart on me like this.

Date Reviewed: July 14, 1999
Duration Product Used:
3 months
Strengths:
good looks, comfortable
good value, strong and tough yet flexable palm, full finger protection, velcro fastening, and mesh thumb to wipe away sweat and snot
Weaknesses:
no nuckle protection
get very smaell, have to be washed often
Bike Setup:
rockhopper FS , RST 381 r , lx and stx-rc dia-compe brakes
Bottom Line:good for all types of cycling and good value. However no nuckle protection but price makes up for it. Frequent washing causes mesh to become worn
Worth the money and an alround good glove.
Overall Rating:5
