Strengths: Lightweight, Breathable. Palm and ulnar nerve protection!Weaknesses: Seams inside chafe.
Not very durable.
Sized a little small.Bottom Line: I've been using Specialized BG Ridge gloves for years now.
I love that they're lightweight and breathable, yet full finger length. Not to mention the AWESOME Ulnar Nerve pads.
After suffering a fall and ripping up my last pair, killing my palms in the process, I emailed Specialized and suggested that they put in more palm protection.
Well it was a very pleasant surprise that their very next version had an extra palm pad.
I dont know if its a coincidence, or they actually listen to their customers, but its a big plus!
Unfortunatly they changes the glove a little in the process.
The new 09 design while having the extra palm pad, is also sized a little too small. I used to wear mediums, and now the mediums are a very tight fit.
Also, and for some inexplicable reason, theres a seam running across the back of the thumbs near the nail, which has rubbed and chafed me to blisters in less then 20 minutes of riding.
They also decreased the size of the velcro straps and the sweat pads, which may or may not be a good thing.
Overall I still love these gloves. The Ulnar Pads decrease numbness a lot, and the glove feels like a second skin.

Strengths: Killer looks, quality materials, super comfortable. Great all around glove for riding in mild climates.Weaknesses: Maybe a little priceyBottom Line: This review is for the 2009 Ridge glove. I looked at several gloves after suffering from hand numbness and while it hasn't completely gone away, it is drastically reduced. Numbness is usually due to incorrect bike setup/fitment, but a little extra padding for the ulnar nerve won't hurt until I can afford a proper fitment.

Strengths: Durable, comfort.Weaknesses: NoneBottom Line: These gloves are bulletproof, keep the cold off in winter yet still breathe well. No sweaty palms. These gloves are probably not the best choice for extreme cold weather riding, but for Socal they are great.
