Strengths: They are pretty to look at; offer full finger protection.Weaknesses: Padding is poorly placed.Bottom Line: I rode these gloves hard for four days in Pisgah NF, trails that are notorious for pounding riders. That was three months ago and my wrists and arms have never recovered. As far as I can tell, the thick gel padding is placed to the far outside of the palm/sit bone area, meaning that when riding the hands/wrists sit at an awkward, painful angle with the thumb side down and other sitting up. OUCH! Bigger ouch was when I was in so much pain that I actually had to take a knife to the padding and rip it out so as to even things up a bit. Not good when you've spent $25 on them and they are practically new. I would not recommend these to anyone who rides hard (or even to those who don't!), unless you like being unable to use your wrists for other tasks, like eating or drinking. If you are easily sucked into the lovely, powder blue color like me, go for it.
