Strengths: 1. BG Gel Pad seems to work
2. Excellent grip on bars, even when wet.
3. Tough palms
4. Velco fastenerWeaknesses: 1. Elastic around fingers was too tight for me. - it made my fingers so numb I couldnt change gear. Some small cuts up each finger (on glove!) cured problem.
2. Ventilation feeble, so can get quite hot.
3. Leather palm can get scrunched up, when holding grips, so less comfy than a "stretchy" palm.
4. Difficult to remove as fingers stick to lining.
5. life of soft-lining only good for 1-seasonBottom Line: A good basic design, for warmish weather, with a tough, grippy leather palm.
BG Gel-pad reduces carpal numbness, but glove introduced finger-tip numbness instead!
If you have "man-sized" fingers, tight finger-elastic can cut off circulation. Also can get a bit sweaty, but you'll always be holding onto the bars with these, which I guess is the main requirement!

Strengths: Comfortable, decent looking, good fit, the padding is thick enough to keep your hand from constantly vibrating, but it's not so thick that you feel disconnected from the handle bars. The "body geometry" pad really does help eliminate numbness in the wrists on long/flat rides.Weaknesses: The terry cloth back can get a little warm, but nothing major so far.Bottom Line: The bottom line is they're definitely good gloves, and worth the $20 that they're listed for here and on the Specialized website. I was in a hurry to get some gloves, so I didn't shop around too much, and ended up paying too much for them. Based on some of the other $25 gloves I've seen, I definitely wouldn't pay that much for these again.
