$19.00 | | Purchased At: | Greenfish | | Strengths: | Sticky to the grips; cool where they need to be; offers protection while feeling as if you have nothing on your hands; light weight; least important but still a strength - look great (I've got the brown ones). | | Weaknesses: | Thin - but you should know that before you buy; sticky product logo coming off the digits - esp. the index; no velcro, etc. opening to easily slide them on/off | | Similar Products Used: | Bash half-finger gels gloves | | Bike Setup: | Used these with a Haro Mary SS so they get their share of twist and rub as I pull on my bars trying to pedal up hill. | | Bottom Line: | Own these gloves. Know going in these are thin basic summertime protection. I'd say they have a definite lifespan. Getting them on/off - especially when wet - can be a problem. If close to next size I'd order a size up. If your hands are tender you may still get hot spots or blisters with these gloves and you are not going to get a lot of protection if you fall and catch yourself with your hands. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

$28.00 | | Strengths: | Great looks!, grippy fingertips, breathable material, doesnt rob away palm feel. | | Weaknesses: | palm material wears faster than the rest, | | Bike Setup: | giant hardtail, full slx, rockshox recon fork, kenda SB8 | | Bottom Line: | These gloves have great tactile feel on the palms, lets you know the textures of what youre touching. Breathable material keeps your hands cool and dry. Minimal padding doesnt bunch up as much as thicker gloves when you grab ur grips. Fingertip grippers do a good job of hanging on to the brake levers.
My only gripe is the palm material wears faster than the rest of the glove, starting to show signs of wear, well I guess thats what you get for better tactile feel.
Another thing I noticed is that mine doesnt have the raised rubber 661 logo and the 661 name on the index finger like some pictures ive seen. Instead mine has screen printed ones, u guys have any idea about the discrepancy????
Might try the 661 comp gloves, maybe their palm material wears better. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

I like the fitted cuff and thin, cool material all around. But, after 4 rides the gloves ripped between the thumb and index finger. The palm also looks pretty worn. I bought an XL, but the thumb length was still too short. I'll send them to 661, but fear that a replacement probably won't work out in the long run. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Although single stitched, I have had them for 6 months without any issue. The palm area is wearing fairly fast (pilling etc), however they still look reliable for at least another 6 months or the next big crash.
I love these gloves- the light mesh backing and zero padding give the feel as if I'm actually not wearing gloves. I use them to train on the road, in the pine trees both racing XC and social rides. They've seen a lot of use and are holding up extremely well for a minimalist glove. They're great on the warmer days. What I really love is being able to feel the bars. Great gloves- just be wary that they're for XC riders or riders that don't crash often (like Lopes) and if you do take a big stack, you're up for a new pair. | Value Rating: Overall Rating: |

Wore them once for a three hour ride in Sedona. First impression - the thumbs were too short!!! My hands are normal in every way, I've NEVER had a glove fit so poorly. Very wierd feeling.
By the end of the ride the right index finger had torn through, and when I took the gloves off my right palm had blistered and bled and my left palm had blistered. Totally bizarre! I mailed 'em back to the manufacturer with my impressions and experience. Never heard a word back.

Having such thin gloves made the road and trail feel all that much more real. Unfortunately after one 1.5hr Hard MTB ride and two saturday morning 3hr Road rides my fingers pierces the mesh at the tips. This was soon followed by all the rubber 'grips' falling off the glove and the synthetic 'leather' giving way to a miriad of holes!

Very cheap glove when compared to other offerings! | | Weaknesses: | For XC riding they are great, I wouldn't try anything else! Downhillers and Freeriders look to another glove. Too thin and too little armor for that. Yes, I freeride too! | | Similar Products Used: | Troy Lee, Fox Racing, Oakley, Specialized, and other 661's | | Bike Setup: | This is for gloves not for my bike?!? It's a Specialized Stumpjumper with many upgrades, she's perfect now! | | Bottom Line: | I've tried allot of differnet gloves for XC riding but I still love these the best. Nice constuction from 661 and used correctly thes are great! They are light weight, have no velcro tabs to wear out, No neoprene to get heated or wet from sweating. Thin enough to do adjustments on your bike on the trail. Comfortable enough to ride all day long with them. If your looking for a no frills glove, with no padding and great bar feel, that are easy to care for and wash, that lasts for a long time get these and never look back! Happy camper was I. Now after 6 months they are beginning to show their fragile nature. Just last week the seam at the bottom of the right glove tore while putting it on. A major bummer but I might try and repair them. Still not a great thing but they are still one of my most favorite pair of riding gloves. They are lightweight, for minimalists who want a glove on their hands. Wash 'em in the washer, then drip dry, and everything is back to normal. I'm suprised that they are so durable! My '02 Troy Lee S.E. gloves -I totally dig 'em- are all torn at the seams of the fingertips! I'm not up to speed on how well 661 (SixSixOne) constructs them, now, but it's any indication of quality product that AXO used to build, then it's a winner!
