Favorite Trail:Area 51, Fire Swamp, Thieve's Forest
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $25.00
Purchased At:Universal Cycles
Strengths:Fit, Style, Venting,
Weaknesses:Velcro cuff catches on terry wipe and lycra panels
Similar Products Used:661 Descend, Fox Sidewinder
Bike Setup:2008 Cannondale Prophet with some bells and whistles
Bottom Line:I really like this glove. First off, the tack of the palm is really nice. Second, they look the dogs bollocks. Third, they fit nicely--true to size. They breathe well too-- great for all-mountain jaunts.

Favorite Trail:Ubin
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $18.00
Strengths:light, good feel on the bars, not too padded that you can't feel anything, breathes well, also they don't stink even without wash for a couple of rides.
Weaknesses:terry cloth on the thumb part could be something better, but hey, it's at a bargain...
Similar Products Used:raji, mtx
Bike Setup:Hardtail Freeride
Bottom Line:can't beat the quality at such a price, plus it comes in waaaay too many color options...

btw the 08 ones look even better! get 1 size up for the 08s though, i tried the XL and it was like the L of the 07...

Submitted by Adam Hunter a Weekend Warrior from Liverpool, UK
Date Reviewed: July 5, 2007
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $20.00
Purchased At:LBS
Strengths:Look nice, mine never fell apart (unlike the other reviews!)
Weaknesses:The velcro catches on the finger material sometimes and pulls it apart abit
Similar Products Used:Specialized gloves
Bottom Line:Bough these as abit of a change from Specialized gloves I usually buy, similar price and look nice. Used mine for about a year now and they are just beginning to fall apart abit. But hey, they were cheap and they've taken abit of a hiding over the past year, will probably go back to specialized or similar next time.

Submitted by Jeremiah a from Lake Elsinore, CA USA
Date Reviewed: October 3, 2006
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $20.00
Strengths:Features for the price
Weaknesses:Sketchy construction, velcro sticks to finger material and pulls it apart.
Similar Products Used:Fox leather MX gloves
Bottom Line:Like someone else said, look them over before you buy. So far they have been comfortable and have not destroyed themselves, but the finger material gets stuck on the velcro when puting them on and pulls it apart. Just be careful. Overall not particularly impressed or dissatisfied.

Bike Setup:Ventana Marble Peak, Sid fork, Cloud 9 shock, hand-built wheels - WTB hubs, X.0 rear, FSA carbon cranks, and X.0 twist shifters
Bottom Line:These gloves may look good right out of the package, but they literally fall apart with some use. Terrible product.

Submitted by Adam a Cross Country Rider from Atlanta, GA
Date Reviewed: June 4, 2006
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $15.00
Purchased At:Beyond Bikes
Strengths:looks cool, breathes good
Weaknesses:weak, uncomfortable, get dirty easily
Similar Products Used:trek gloves
Bottom Line:When I first got these glove they looked really cool but did fit good. After a while they wore in and started to fit better. They got really dirty quickly. One day I looked down and they had a whole in them and they where less that a month old. I wouldnt suggest these glove to any one unless your on a big budget. Spend $15 and get some gloves that actually work.

Favorite Trail:Porcupine Rim
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $18.00
Strengths:They look nice, the top side of the glove is tough
Weaknesses:The side you actually use is about as strong as a wet paper towel. Within 1 month these thing started shredding, they are useless. I am very disappointed in 661
Similar Products Used:Pearl Izumi gloves
Bike Setup:Rocky Mountain Pipeline
Bottom Line:Even if the price looks good, don't consider any glove from 661, they are trash.

Submitted by Brady Robinson a Cross Country Rider from Asheville, NC USA
Date Reviewed: June 12, 2005
Favorite Trail:Many in the Pisgah
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $12.00
Purchased At:online
Strengths:Very comfortable, great fit, looks nice. Not too hot for full fingered gloves.
Weaknesses:4 seams started coming apart during my first and only ride with these gloves. Bummer.
Similar Products Used:REI gloves, Craft
Bottom Line:Give these gloves a serious looking over before buying. Seems like there must be some quality control issues in the factory in China or wherever. Maybe I just got a bad pair. I would have given 5 Chilis had the seams stayed together.
