Date Reviewed: April 6, 2006
Favorite Trail:Lower & Upper Burma
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $7.00
Purchased At:nashbar.com
Strengths:cheap, hold up to regular use, cover more finger but keep your hand cool
Weaknesses:black version had dumb plastic coating that I immediately removed on the back of hand
Bike Setup:Rocky Mtn. Edge
Bottom Line:Cheap and efficient. Not for riding through the bushes, but fine for well-groomed trails. Fingertips are still exposed, so tuck and roll if you crash.

Submitted by Mike a Weekend Warrior from Ipswich, Suffolk, UK
Date Reviewed: April 2, 2002
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:Paul's Cycles
Strengths:Look good, no too much padding, pads are soft enough to still be able to feel your handlebars through, colours, different length "half" fingers
Weaknesses:None so far
Bike Setup:Schwinn '01 Moab 1 Disc
Bottom Line:These gloves really make you feel the part, not to mention the fact that they save your hands getting blisters on hard rides.
The fact that the "half" fingers are different lengths is a bonus as it means that your skin is only exposed at the bits they need to be and you dont end up with blisters half way down your fingers.

Managed to get these thrown in with my bike, so a bit of a bonus, plus they had both the tan (which I got) and green in stock. If you are serious about keeping your hands sweat and blister free, whilst still being able to feel your handlebars, these are the gloves you need

Date Reviewed: February 21, 2002
Favorite Trail:Devil's Head
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $10.00
Purchased At:Nashbar.com
Strengths:looks good, comfortable, different length fingers look like they are helpful
Weaknesses:hard to find
Similar Products Used:other schwinn gloves, the flesh on my hands/calices and these cheap things from sportsmart
Bike Setup:Stock except for some other stuff
Bottom Line:These gloves are pretty cool if you can find'em, just enough padding, look cool, with that shiny S, I've been trying to find them since July I think.

Submitted by John a Weekend Warrior from Irving, Texas
Date Reviewed: June 13, 2001
Favorite Trail:Still looking for it...
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Purchased At:PerformanceBike.com
Strengths:Comfortable
Tough
Goodlooking
Weaknesses:Color choice (but I bought them on sale so that limited my options.)
Similar Products Used:Weightlifting gloves with thicker rubberized padding.
Bike Setup:6 year old Chromemoly Univega (we don't need no stinking suspension!) with some upgrades.
Bottom Line:Much more comfortable than my previous gloves even with less padding, very cool to wear (important here in Texas). These are the half-finger style and might not work for hardcore off road freaks who deal with bad conditions. For light trail work and around town commuting they rock. They grip well but allow you to shift your fingers around when needed.

Date Reviewed: November 8, 2000
Favorite Trail:Big Laguna/Noble Canyon
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $25.00
Purchased At:CC Cycling
Strengths:Comfortable, full finger glove.
Weaknesses:Could use just a smidgen more padding.
Similar Products Used:Lots.
Bike Setup:Schwinn Homegrown Pro, Zoke Atom 70, Mavic Crosslink, XT drivetrain, RaceFace everything else
Bottom Line:Comfortable full finger gloves that will protect you from rocks, stickers, cactus spines (well maybe not). Hold up well if you don't put them in the dryer. Good price. You're stuck with the color for the size (red=small, blue=medium, green=large) but who cares?

Submitted by Jim Parman a Racer from Fond du Lac, Wi
Date Reviewed: May 9, 2000
Duration Product Used:3 months
Strengths:fits like.... a glove!
super sweet styling
good padding without loss of control, and without making your hands feel tired, because too much will do that.
Weaknesses:didn't see them earlier,
Similar Products Used:trek, schwinn, gary fisher, specialized
Bike Setup:schwinn homegrown, titec, manitou sx-ti, rolf propel, xt/xtr/Icon/Avid
Bottom Line:go with these, they are simply the best if you are serious about control, and dont want your hands to fatigue. good breathable fabric helps shed water and keeps hands relatively dry, makes holding onto the handlebar every bit easier....
can you say control, who could ask for anything more?
