Date Reviewed: August 29, 2005
Favorite Trail:Pontiac Lake
Duration Product Used:6 months
Purchased At:REI
Strengths:Comfortable, look decent if the REI logo doesn't show, no padding to make my hands numb (YAY!!!!!!!!)
Weaknesses:Don't wear well, fingers are just a bit too short (next size up was too big, though)
Similar Products Used:Pearl Izumi Gel Lite
Bike Setup:K2 with a bunch of upgrades
Bottom Line:These gloves are pretty much right in line with anything else with the REI name-mediocre for the money. They fit pretty well, with the exception that the fingers were just a bit too short, especially since they are constantly stretched with grasping the handlebars. But, they worked pretty well for awhile. Then I started wearing them regularly since my Pearl Izumi Gel Lite gloves would make my hands numb. But, after 6 months of regular use, the fingers are all worn through now. Now the challenge will be to find a better wearing pair of gloves that are unpadded (or very lightly padded), since the padding seems to make my hands numb.
