Strengths:    Very nice looking,light.

Weaknesses:    Extremely thin pads, not for DH or FR use,Dont count them for protection.

Bottom Line:
I bought them for protection and one week after in a small fall they got pierced and my hand also. Buy them but its better to hang the on the wall than to use them. I was very disapointed

Weaknesses:    single layer palm material which is perforated rips and stretches due to rubber padding at back of heel of palm

Bottom Line:
decent product, gloves lasted a hard 6 months of riding including crashes. next years gloves look better. over all not bad for only 45 bucks.

The top section seems to be fairly isolated from the derailleur. Chain play up top is dictated b ... Read More »

Danny Macaskill Freeride Shoes vs impact lows

Anyone use both? I had the old freerides but didn't like them much due to the lack of stiffness in sole, and exposed toe box and flimsy construction. Apparently these were addressed in the macaskills?? I have the impact highs but would like to try something a little less burly without giving up too ... Read More »

Localized swelling at impact site (hip) appeared week later...

First off, I do have an appointment with a physician in a week (earliest available), but wondered if someone could proffer an explanation for my issue in the meantime. I crashed hard in a race two weeks ago, smashing down on my hip and shoulder. Sat stunned for a minute, then got up and rode a lap ... Read More »

Screech on Impact

I'm riding a mostly stock stock 2012 Epic Expert Evo R with a 2013 carbon SL wheelset. When I get some air, not big air, just the kind of jumps you'll find on an XC trail, upon landing there is a screeching sound sometimes. I doubt that it would be from the fork. It doesn't really sound like the b ... Read More »

Shoes like Impact 510 but with thinner soles?

Hi, I have a pair of Impact 510 shoes. I love the traction and stiff feel. Was wondering if anyone makes a similar shoe, traction wise, but with a smaller/thinner sole? The reason I ask is that I feel too high up on the pedal and feel that it makes me top heavy and uneasy. I used to ride in a ... Read More »
