Strengths: Leather palm for good grip; not too heavy so wicks well and dissipates heat.Weaknesses: Not very padded or "armored" - if that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere.Bottom Line: A great midweight XC and all-mountain MTB glove. Nothing bomber about them, but not as wimpy as many other full finger gloves. The unpadded palm may be too little padding for many riders. Nothing particularly outstanding or extraordinary about these gloves - nose wipe, good grip, etc. The leather palms provide great grip appear to be durable enough from the couple of times I have worn them on the trail and in the bike park. Silicone rubber appliques on finger tips enhance dexterity on hydration pack zippers, etc.
Who will like? Someone who needs protection but not hand armor - someone who doesn't crash a lot, bash trees, or whose hands stay fairly warm anyway. Anyone who likes a midweight MTB glove - not a lightweight full-finger pavement and path glove.
The real test will be how long they last - stay tuned - but for now, I think they are worth the money and a great XC and all-mountain MTB glove, so for now 3 chilis on value (durability may increase), 4 overall.
