Strengths: Comfortable, a good amount of padding. Don't get very hot or cold. In winter, if it isn't too cold, then they do a good job of breaking the wind, making your hands warmer. They have good ventilation.
Weaknesses: The velcro is weak. They are made from thin materials. I have not crashed on them at all and one finger ripped a hole just from using the brakes.
Bottom Line:
This is a nice glove if you need to keep your hands cool, or warm in a mild winter. It is comfortable, but the materials and construction are not strong enough in my opinion.

Strengths: light weight, comfortable
Weaknesses: Velcro closures. From day one they lost their grip. The velcro strap flaps around while I am riding and drives me crazy.
Bottom Line:
I expected better from Pearl Izumi. In addition to the velcro closure problem, the grips wore off right away. For the $, not a good value. I would rather pay more and get what I expect.

Strengths: Look nice, comfortable, gel padding, hands stay cool, and the cloth around the thumb is great for wiping away sweat.
Weaknesses: leather on the palm is too thin and already has holes in it. Threads are coming out. Just falling apart.
Bottom Line:
These gloves seem to be a great glove for me, but they have not stood the test of time and that test of time has been very short. In other words, these gloves have not lasted very long at all. They are falling apart after about 200 miles. The leather on the palm is completely worn through. For the price I'd steer away from these. My next set of gloves will not be made by Pearl Izumi.

Strengths: color
Weaknesses: quality
Bottom Line:
These gloves suck..... They thin and my grips tore them apart. I started out with full finger gloves and after several rides I had to start cutting the fingers off cause they were falling apart. it would be a better glove if they made it stronger for mountain biking.

Strengths: looks cool, nice velcro strap hold well, lite
Weaknesses: thin, loses padding, not very rugged, tears easy, padding comes off.
Bottom Line:
If you ride to work and back once a day in cool weather these gloves are for you. Anything else don't buy em... After one ride, I had a hole in the tip of finger and the palms were pretty well beat up. After two rides the padding on the palm was flat and it looked like the leather was going to rip. After three rides the padding was off. Overall not a rugged glove... dont' buy it if you trail ride... I took em back

Strengths: Comfortable, well padded.
Weaknesses: Durability, quality, velcro at wrist doesn't hold
Bottom Line:
These gloves fell apart in fewer than a dozen rides. The palm pads are falling off and I have to super-glue them. Stitching in one of the fingers is coming loose. The velco closure at the wrist doesn't stay closed worth a crap. These are extremely disappointing and are not fit mountain bike use, especially for the price.

Strengths: Comfortable gloves. Weight is about right for a 3 season glove. The palms and padding are holding up OK on mine.
Weaknesses: Velcro lost effectiveness in the first couple of months. The gloves started falling apart after about 9 months, the mesh around the fingers is blowing out.
Bottom Line:
The gloves at first seemed pretty decent, but just don't have the longevity of most other Pearl Izumi stuff. Initially, I was happy with them, they are comfortable gloves, but have been very disappointed that they are wearing out so fast. I gave them a 2 chili (fair) overall rating only because I do like the gloves, but for value I have to deduct chilis since I hate replacing expensive gloves every year.

Strengths: Light, breathes well.
Weaknesses: Glue holding pads on palm. The velcro didn't last. Why black? I'm buying a thin glove because I don't want to overheat my hands!
Bottom Line:
This was the fourth pair of PI gloves I bought in the last 10 years. I've always been happy with the previous gloves, I'd get 4-5 years of good service which I find reasonable.
This pair lasted 6 months before the pads on the palm came unglued and fell off. Also the velcro closures would not stay closed.
On the plus side after sending the gloves back to PI Warranty they shipped me a new updated pair of gloves a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully the changes they've made will make this a solid pair of gloves.

Strengths: My gloves don't look like the ones in the picture so maybe I have a newer version. Anyway, they are great! Comfortable, fit well, etc. They haven't shown much sign of wear yet. We will see how they stack up against my old Raji's.
Weaknesses: hdsihfl
Bottom Line:
Maybe the older ones sucked but the newer ones don't.
Strengths: light, absorbent, terry cloth thumb, ventilated
Weaknesses: none
Bottom Line:
I am suprised by these reviews. My first pair lasted for about a 1.5 thousand miles before they hit the dust. I love em. the terry cloth on the thumb is key for wiping the nose and they are light and thinly padded, which i like. perfect for me i guess.

Strengths: Design, padding.
Weaknesses: Durability.
Bottom Line:
This gloves fall apart too easily. The padding section is glued in and the glue fails after a while. Also some stiches are coming off. Don't buy these.
Very nice gloves while they lasted, but the gel pads bonded to the palm starting delaminating after only 6 months of moderate use. I never fell with them on, so I think it is unacceptable for them to fall apart so soon from just holding on to the bars. I have a pair of Pearl Izumi pittards winter gloves, and those are lasting me years, so I can only assume that this particular product has a design/quality issue.
