Date Reviewed: June 14, 2007
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $80.00
Purchased At:O Store (Toronto)
Strengths:Great look, breathe well, nice and tacky fingers, lightweight
Weaknesses:price
Bottom Line:You can probably get comparable gloves for around half the price. I've never had a bad experience with Oakley, so i stuck with 'em.
I bought mediums and they were tight as heck at first, but after an afternoon of riding they formed beautifully. No gathering or bunching in the palms and all-around great looking. the kevlar knuckles is what won me over from the hard carbon on the Fox Unabombers. I haven't bailed while wearing them (yet); my only concern is that the single-layer Clarino palms will tear. I'll update after the fall....

Favorite Trail:Cedro
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $70.00
Purchased At:O-Store
Strengths:Sticky fingers
Secure fit
Breathability
Weaknesses:Palm durability
Similar Products Used:Oakley Factory Pilot 1.0, Specialized Fortress, Alpinestars SMX-2
Bottom Line:A pricey glove that delivers good performance right up to the first hard crash. The palm is all Clarino with no reinforcement and one of mine was ripped on the first palm- down crash. Very breathable and they provide a secure fit but I question the durability especially for the price. My pair of Factory Pilot 1.0 gloves have endured much more abuse, including a tour in Iraq, and are still going strong.
