Strengths: Comfortable, form fitting, breathable, OK for cool days, machine washable.Weaknesses: NOT waterproof, not suitable for freezing temperatures.Bottom Line: I purchased these gloves on due to a glowing review found online. As I commute over 100 miles a week on the wet Pacific Northwest Coast, rain gear is very important.
The first 3 weeks of using these gloves there was no hard rain in the fall (quite unusual here). The Lizard Blizzards were fine for this type of riding although they are not very warm close to freezing.
In the first real test, I rode home for an hour in hard wet snow. Within 15 minutes my hands were numb and cold. It was difficult shifting gears. By the time I got home, my hands were in very bad shape and I was cursing.
These gloves will be good for days when I know it won't pour or if the weather is not too cold. The search for waterproof gloves goes on.
