Submitted by Quill a Weekend Warrior from Cheshire, CT
Date Reviewed: October 13, 2006
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Strengths:Great shell design... love the zippered vent/heater holder.
Well made.
Weaknesses:The liner was only ok, and the velcro tab system for fixing them in the shell takes more patience than I sometimes display.
Similar Products Used:PI Pittards. Not as warm. I had sweat issues.
Bike Setup:Mountain and road.
Bottom Line:Gloves will never be as warm as mittens, but when its below 20F you can use those little chemical heater packets (I ski so they are laying around) in a little zippered pouch over the back of the hand. Even better though, is that opening up the zipper lets you VENT. This helps hugely when you are going back and forth from freezing to sweating, and greatly widens the useful temperature range with these gloves.

Submitted by Dr. Dre a Weekend Warrior from BOOGIE-DOWN PROD.
Date Reviewed: December 30, 2000
Favorite Trail:ANYTHING STEEP & TECHNICAL
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $21.00
Purchased At:NASHBAR
Strengths:GLOVES ARE TWO PIECES. BREATHABLE FLEECE INSIDE WITH A WIND/WATER PROOF OUTER SHELL. WITH VENTS TO REGULATE TEMPERATURE. THEY GLOVES ALSO HAVE DRAWSTRINGS AT THE WRIST AND THE FOREARM TO SEAL OUT THE ELEMENTS. AND REFLECTIVE STRIPS ON THE FINGERS TO AID IN VISIBILITY. PLUS TERRY CLOTH ON THE THUMB TO WIPE SWEAT OR A RUNNY NOSE. THESE ARE VERY WARM GLOVES.
Weaknesses:THE ONLY THING RIDERS MIGHT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IS THE GLOVES BULK. THEY ARE KIND OF THICK, BUT YOU CAN STILL MANEUVER THE BIKE AND SHIFT PRETTY WELL. BUT IF YOU ARE ALWAYS RIDING IN COLD CONDITIONS YOU'LL APPRECIATE THE ADDED BULK AND WARMTH.
Similar Products Used:GORE WINDSTOPPERS, FOX
Bike Setup:FREERIDE BABAY!!!!!!RACEFACE, MARZOCCHI, XTR, EASTON, PANARACER, GRIMECA.
Bottom Line:tHESE ARE GREAT IF NOT ONE OF THE BEST GLOVES YOU CAN BUY FOR EXTREME WEATHER RIDING. YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED. NASBAR HAD THEM FOR $21 IN EARLY DECEMBER NOW THEIR $24. MY ONLY ADVICE IZ GET YOURSELF A PAIR BEFORE THEY RUN OUT. REGULAR STORES ARE SELLING THEM FOR $40 BUCKS!!! THEIR STILL WORTH IT IN ANY CASE.
