Fits like a glove, comfortable, great padding, breathable and great grip.

Could use a bit more Velcro on the strap. Purchased the black/white and they look like they should be with a Skelton costume.

These gloves are worth every penny. Beware of the sizing of these gloves. I normally wear a large and the x-large fit perfectly.

*Padded. The pair I had for three years was lacking palm padding. They have since taken care of this with the new design, so it's no longer an issue.

I'm on my second pair. First pair lasted me a few years. Finally tore the left palm on a fall/slide down a dry, hardpacked hillside. Only the outer layer tore, my hand was fine. Three years for a pair of gloves is awesome

Durability - I'm comparing this mtb glove, my first, against my experience with baseball and golf gloves. I started riding in September and this first pair is still holding up. The palm and fingers are still intact. I think I paid about $40 at the bike store. Worth the investment.

The velcro strap on one hand separated from the top layer...but the velcro is still holding. The palm, although still intact, the surface is beading up a little bit.

I've put this pair thru sweat, mud, water, and southern humidity and it's still holding up. The rubber padding has protected my from swiping branches and even one vicious stab from an evil oak branch and didn't puncture. I highly recommend this glove and will buy one again.

I have two pair of these and really like them, despite their shortcomings. I had to restitch the palm area as the EVO pad there wore through the stitching, and I had to superglue the knuckle bumper back on.
That was about six months ago. All in all they hold up better than many gloves I've used.

Great looks, Really good grip, seems to conform around your fingers better than most i've used, D3O fights numbness.

Orange D3O tag pokes your hand while riding so I'll probably end up trimming that down. Velcro fastener seems small. Kinda pricey.

Rode em for 2 rides so far. One was an hour, the other was an hour and a half. Felt great the entire time other than the inside edge of the orange d3o tag poking you once and a while. The grip seems boderline sticky compared to regular fox leather gloves. Has good protection where you need it. Actually have to pull the fingers around yours so it feels like a glove should. Went down in a loose corner with them on and they absorbed the ground well. Felt bad about getting them covered in dust but you gotta break em in sometime. Haven't noticed anything coming apart yet so we'll see at the end of racing season. But I've had several fox gloves split and rubber protection peel off, so I am impressed with them so far.

Smaller fitting, and I seamed to have a shrinking problem. Black dye continued to run onto my hands and on my final soak to try end the dye problem they just fell apart.

I've used other Giro products and they are always top quality. So when I found the remedy glove with the d3o rubber I thought this would be perfect. I'm a large in gloves and the first thing I noticed was the tight fit. I thought they will probably fit well after a couple of runs. Giro say they should be form fitting but when I could see the seams under stress I was worried. Aside from the massive amount of black dye running off them on my first ride (dripping on my knees black on my face after wiping sweat etc) I was surprised to see the gloves wrap and shrink out of shape after every cold water hand rinse. After a month of use and still getting black hands I decided to soak the gloves for 2 days changing the water at the same time. Thats when the glove literally fell apart

Comfortable, excellent bar feel, great temperature modulation, seem to be very well made, lots of fine design points: well-placed ventilated armor, contoured leather on the fingers, bomber pull tab, etc. D30 on the outer palms is great. I tested it today by hitting an acorn with my hand on a rock ledge. I barely felt any pressure in the glove though the hard shell of the nut cracked open. Very surreal to see and feel the result. Hope to see more protection with this type of material (ala POC). While I've only gone on a couple rides with these gloves they're a huge improvement over my old Izumi full fingers on every front. My hands stay cool on the climbs and warm enough during this morning's cool New England fall descent. Really like 'em and hope they hold up.I can also say that these are the most comfortable gloves of any kind I've ever worn. They just feel that good to pull on.

The velcro closure is a bit small. Not sure I'd pick these if I was going to be riding on pavement much to or from the trails; the center palm is only 1 thin layer of leather. I've burned through 3 thick layers on pavement crashes.

Awesome glove though wish there was a little more protection on the rest of the palm besides the D30 section. Big selling point was Giro's claim that these gloves won't fall apart, and after reading so many reviews of spendy gloves that have done that I guess time will tell. Perhaps I'll post again after a couple seasons of use.

Giving the 4 on overall for the specifics mentioned. With a bigger closure and thicker palms these would easily be a 5.
