Date Reviewed: October 4, 2009
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $21.00
Purchased At:Carter Power Sports
Strengths:Looks, Comfort
Weaknesses:Just be careful not to let the finger area touch the velcro when wearing the glove because this will start destroying the material.
Bottom Line:This is a great fit glove... for me at least. The quality is awesome and good looks is a plus. This gloves works for me!

Every person has different hand sizes regardless if it's small, medium, large or even xlarge. I recommend you fit the gloves first before buying one.

Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $20.00
Purchased At:Sports Chalet
Strengths:Decent price.
The seem to fit exceptionally well compared to the other brands I've tried on.
Weaknesses:A bigger pad to wipe the "monkey splunge" off your forehead would be nice.
Similar Products Used:Haven't used gloves until recently, that's when i started remembering how many times gravel got embedded in my hands as a kid.Good times-Not.
Bike Setup:Giant Sedona DX with some upgraded bobbits&widgets.
Bottom Line:I'm not a Clydesdale but the stitches have held up under my 200 pound body...so far.
Great gloves in general.
Who knows what kind of quality control corporations keep but
I ride every other day and haven't experienced the problems some of the other reviewers have.Take a chance and try them they may work for you as well as they have for me.

Strengths:Cool looks, well made (not including rubber that fells of).
Weaknesses:Rubber on finger come of after a few rides, it’s glued and simply does not hold. Very slippery inside.
Similar Products Used:661 nasty - so much better than fox
Bottom Line:Very poor product. Rubber on finger that is supposed to help keep fingers on brake levers fells of very quickly. But the biggest problem is that event thou my dirtpaws are a perfect fit somehow the inside of the glow is so slippery that my hand slides inside the glows and when my hands get sweaty it becomes very difficult to have a secure grip on handlebars. I would say that this product is dangerous.

Well made and cool looking but made by people who never used it in a practical environment... is good for riding around park but not for MTB.

Weaknesses:none I'm aware of.
Similar Products Used:last few years poor quality gloves from mail order. liked my specialized til I lost one.
Bike Setup:Cannondale hardtail from back when
Bottom Line:saw these at the LBS got them and was pleasantly suprised how well they are holding up. no signs of wear'n tear and I wash them after almost every ride too(some cheap gloves cant take it cardboard like fake leather?that wears/melts thru)Like the knuckle protection/soft rubber that flexz well and stops those knuckle pings from the sasa(bamboo like tall grass)that rules the woods here in Hokkaido. Cmftble glove too(8 hrs longest ride in them)! OH, mine are BLACK not the color in the picture up top.

Favorite Trail:Downtown
Duration Product Used:Tested or demo'ed only
Price Paid: $32.00
Purchased At:Sun n Ski Sports
Strengths:Good fit, look cool, cool enclosure.
Weaknesses:Crap manufacturing. These gloves literally fall apart off the rack. The rubber on the knuckles is glued on; it comes off if you bend the fingers too much. The stretchy material in the fingers also becomes frayed and thinned when it touches the velcro, something you really can't avoid lest you be conscience of how you remove your gloves. I feel like the gloves will rip if I pull them off too hard.
Similar Products Used:Mechanix gloves
Bike Setup:Identit Dr. Jekyll for urban
Bottom Line:Fox is 100% name. They should have taken some Charmin double-ply, made it into a glove shape, and sold it as Fox dirtpaws.

Strengths:Comfortable, hold up very well, not too hot, dry fairly quickly
Weaknesses:could use a bit more padding as they're a mountain bike glove and dont really have any
Similar Products Used:non
Bike Setup:monocog 29, h bars, discs, stuffed hedgehog
Bottom Line:ive rode all summer and winter with these gloves (obviously layered in cold) and they've held up brilliantly. i normally ride single speed on trails with a lot of steady climbing, so im out of the saddle pulling the majority of my rides. the gloves have no holes, show little wear actually, and are still going strong.

Favorite Trail:Bonelli Park
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $22.00
Purchased At:Helen's (LBS)
Strengths:Price point, breathable, grippy
Weaknesses:Lycra snags on Velcro.
Similar Products Used:Tour Master (motorcycle use), Fox Mojave
Bike Setup:07 Gary Fisher Hi-Fi Plus, CB 50/50, Salsa Stem, Azonic mid-rise bar, Hope seat QR, Panaracer Fire XC
Bottom Line:The Dirtpaw though made for MotoX, its great for MTB use. The pricepoint is great, the glove is breathable and is grippy. One drawback though is that the lycra on the fingers (especially the index fingers) snags on the Velcro closure.

I love this glove so much I bought another pair in another color. I'm inbetween sizes and the XXL is too big while the XL is snug. I'll find out if the seams hold out from the tighter fit.

Similar Products Used:a few crappy ones, these are my first real cycling gloves
Bike Setup:2007 Trek Fuel EX 6 stock
Bottom Line:Solid Grip, nice leather, the fit is amazing, i slept in these gloves for 2 days, when i grip something without them i feel just a tad naked. the rubber on top comes off kinda easy if you land hard, which i do pretty often, but it works. These gloves are solid, i love them. I ride every single day and the one day i forgot them i felt out of control, these are the best gloves i can imagine, no complaints of any consequence. Buy these before you waste your money on worse versions

-good ventalation
-really good grip
-tough as hell
-look great!
Weaknesses:none really yet, theyre great, and i havnt had a good pair in so long these feel great!

Purchased At:Shop I'm employed at
Strengths:Good gloves. don't rip, breathe well, perfect amount of padding.
Weaknesses:Some of the seams started to come undone, because they were a little tight(I'm in between sizes, and would rather have them fit tight), but luckily I can sew. After i restitched them a little looser they fit perfectly and don't unstitch themselves. The only real issue i have is that the thin lycra materail on the sides of the fingers rips and wears out before everything else.
Similar Products Used:None i rode bare handed until these.

Strengths:Very good all around glove. Nice fit. Great grip.
Weaknesses:After 4 years of winter cold, spring rain, and summer heat, they smell like CRAP. They have begun to rip in-between the thumb and forefinger. They have also faded ALOT!
Bike Setup:ODI Intense Lock on grips, and stock hex pattern grips. Cromoly Hardtail
Bottom Line:The gloves were great! I have just found the need to replace them. I also found that alittle Febreeze can take care of the smell for a couple of weeks. They were great gloves, and I would definetly recommend them. I also found that they came in handy when playing paintball with the guys.

Weaknesses:no snot wipe, must be a perfect fit or they are a bit uncomfortable
Bottom Line:great for trails or whatever you want to do. they work for everything. i wish they had the snot wipe! the rubber finger protection seems to be cracking and peeling off so don't get these thinking they are going to last a couple of seasons. and if they are just a hair to big or small they will be very uncomfortable, so, know exactly what size to get!!!

Strengths:- excellent fit
- good ventilation
- looks cool (not like that ugly photo above, though. Hideous!)
Weaknesses:- no "snot wipe"
- no padding (only a problem if your grips aren't good)
Similar Products Used:other full finger and shorty gloves
Bike Setup:it has ODI lock ons with Rogue grips
Bottom Line:Looked all over for a decent fitting pair of gloves that don't look geeky. The Dirtpaws fit the bill. It's like having the advantages of wearing gloves (protection from falls and trailside branches, plus the funky tan line), but they feel like they aren't even there. Super comfortable, despite no padding. I imagine they will last at least this year, and maybe next year, too. Stand up to washing well (hang dry them)

They are probably a down hill glove, so it probably isn't fair, but I'll knock one flaming whatever off because they don't have the nose wipe thing built in.

Bike Setup:Merida Kalahari 590 pro w/ avid mech front disc.
Bottom Line:Really great glove. Extremely good quality because i had a pair of half fingered gloves before these and they cost the same price but the half fingers ripped in 2 weeks and these are now 4 weeks old and still look new. They are really nice to wear and you can say good bye to blisters because these are so soft and comfortable on the inside yet extremely hard and armoured on the outside but they managed to still be quite movable.
