Strengths:    snot wipe, thin palm, knuckle protection, comortable, grippy brake lever tabs on ends of fingers.

Weaknesses:    Thin palm provides little/no protection in a crash

Bottom Line:   
I've been using these glove for about 3-4 years and had no issues - they will proberly get replaced in the next 12 months (possibly with the 2010 version.
They have a thin palm which i prefer as it gives you more control on the trail - they are not a heavy use / hard core use glove and if used in this way i could see them ripping quite quickly as some reviews have said. If you ride XC trails and prefer a full finger glove with a thin palm then these gloves are ideal.
I have also used them on my commuter with no issues at all - even when it gets a bit colder tehy provide great protection from teh elements, i have also used them with some Gore glove inserts just to provide an extra bit of heat on cold (but dry) mornings.

Strengths:    could be used as TP in a pinch.

Weaknesses:    Very weak, palms wore out after two rides. What a waste of hard earned cash!

Bottom Line:   
These gloves are a total waste of money unless you are purchasing them for a child to use with his tricycle. I thought Dakine was a reputable brand, that's why I went with them in the first place. They looked pretty cool on the rack, they looked like swiss cheese after my second ride with them.
