Favorite Trail:Sugar Bottom
Duration Product Used:6 months
Price Paid: $9.00
Purchased At:Price Point
Strengths:Comfort, protection, price, fit.
Weaknesses:none
Similar Products Used:PI, AXO, Trek, Performance, etc.
Bike Setup:Rocky Mountain Thin Air, XTR, Black Elite 80, WTB Paradigm wheelset, etc. etc.
Bottom Line:By far the best glove for technical mtn biking I've ever used. Washes nicely and retains shape. "leather" underside offers great protection from raspberry thorns and other prickly's and burs on the trail. Grip is excellent. Very thin padding allows for excellent feel and grip. Padding is placed only where you need it. Large terry patch for wiping sweat. Anatomically cut so it fits your wrist exceptionally well. Full finger design breathes well and doesn't get hot in the summer. Not designed for a long road ride, but for a three hour technical XC ride, its perfect. Will buy again. PI's and Axo's can't compare.

Date Reviewed: June 18, 2002
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $30.00
Purchased At:Evan's
Strengths:Good fit, quality materials.
Weaknesses:Too much padding, spotty quality control.
Similar Products Used:Most others by now.
Bike Setup:Doesn't matter.
Bottom Line:I like these gloves. Padding is a little thick over the ulnar nerve, but haven't caused me any grief yet as others have. I prefer unpadded gloves with just some reinforcements.

Quality control seems a little lax. The gloves are sewn in China and the first pair I got weren't properly joined up between the terry cloth and the flexy fabric on the top of the hand. Changed those after a ride and the second pair were just fine. Help up well to 3 or so rides a week the last few months, anything from 10-30 miles in varied conditions.
