Favorite Trail:Wynyard Express,Double Eagle
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $100.00
Purchased At:Bike HQ
Strengths:Looks and ..
mines an 07 model in red/black
Weaknesses:wee bit hot...
Similar Products Used:Giro Remedy
Bike Setup:Marin Attack Trail 08...Domain/XT drivetrain/Atomlab P-lites rims/Syncros Bars/Avid Elixir/Wtb Pure/Sunline Grips/Gravity Gap Cranks/Mrp Party Crasher/E13 Drs/Kenda Nevengals DTC for Trail/Maxxis H.Roller-Minion combo for Free-ride/Crank Bros-Mallets for Trail/DMR V8s for FR
Bottom Line:661 Strike is one tough helmet...i've had a few hard stacks over the last year and I swear this helmet has helped me avoid serious injury...Crashed on Wynyard Express into wooden bollard (post 4 x 4)..head and shoulder, smashed post in half!!, crashed head-first into Manuka trees (very hard NZ wood) on fast tight single track...munted peak and broke goggles..helmet/head all good!!

Great helmet/looks the business/light without compromising strength/fantastic value for the quality you get...I have just bought a 2nd 661 helmet (sale) Pro Bravo..should be interesting to see if its as good.

Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $110.00
Purchased At:lbs
Strengths:looks sexy, nice and light, CHEAP, goggles fit perfectly and you can slide your helmet and goggles on and off as one piece, doesn't get hotter than any other full face... the other dude who said it gets hot must be using it to ride xc or something... but by far the best thing about it is the protection. saved my life on several occasions, the most notable being a crash at high speed straight onto my head. shattered my wrist and broke my shoulder but no head damage at all thanks to this helmet.
Weaknesses:none. 661 gloves might suck but their helmets are top notch.
Bottom Line:don't know if they still make them or not, but if you are just getting into it and want the best protection, best comfort and best looks at the best price, this is the one for you. paid about $100usd for it back when i first got into downhill and it's still with me today after many HARD hits. i haven't even managed to break the visor :) i would give it 10 value chillis if they would let me.

Strengths:Nice graphics, offers great protection, comfortable on winter, "D" lace
Weaknesses:Cheap, could be more lighter, very hot on summer, the matte paint job is more noticeable to scratch

Bottom Line:This helmet is great for the price. In some year seasons its very hot but in others its ok. Offers great protection and for sure he wont came out of your head because the "D" strap lace. In comparison to Bell its more heavy.
