Submitted by Rob a Downhiller from Santa Cruz, CA
Date Reviewed: December 10, 2007
Favorite Trail:braile, or mailboxes
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $100.00
Strengths:I will admit that you feel invincible in this helmet, it is like placing you head in a steal vault.
Weaknesses:The helmet has very few vents and as a result, ventilates poorly. I ride everything from free riding to downhill riding to cross county. At every break my goggles fog immediately due to the poor air circulation of this helmet. Myself included, I have never seen someone wear this helmet on an uphill climb, even if the climb is relatively short- the helmet is too heavy and too poorly ventilated.
Similar Products Used:None
Bike Setup:Santa Cruz Nomad, E-thirteen supercharger, king, dt swiss 240/360, goodrich break lines, juicy 7's, saint cranks, blah blah blah
Bottom Line:For the money the Rampage may be a good purchase, but I would lean towards the comparably priced Giro Remedy after seeing how satisfied my friends were with their Remedy's. Also, this is the only full faced helmet I have ever owned so I have nothing to really compare against it.

Submitted by Terry a Downhiller from Boise, ID USA
Date Reviewed: November 14, 2007
Duration Product Used:1 Year
Price Paid: $120.00
Purchased At:Moab Cyclery
Strengths:Very solid feeling construction. Makes you feel confident descending at full speed.
Weaknesses:The matte black is super cool looking but you have to be careful when putting it in the back of your car/truck cause it scuffs easily. Just keep it in the soft cloth carrying case to avoid this.
Similar Products Used:First full face helmet!
Bottom Line:This helmet is amazing. It makes you feel invincible. When riding on hot days it does a commendable job at keeping things relatively cool. I feel like I can push my riding to the next level and still be safe. You won't be disappointed if you buy this helmet.

Favorite Trail:Southfield, MD
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $125.00
Purchased At:Fox Website
Strengths:Very nice construction. Has great looks. Feels solid and safe when wearing.
Bike Setup:'07 Specialized P1 - '99 Raleigh M40
Bottom Line:After reading reviews on this helmet, I decided to go ahead and purchase it. With the 60 day return policy, it was a no brainer to buy, and return if I did not like it. In the end, I love the helmet. It not only feels good & solid while wearing, but the Silver looks AWESOME! I would highly recommend looking into this product if you are in the market for a full face helmet.

Date Reviewed: August 10, 2006
Favorite Trail:A-line (whistler)
Duration Product Used:3 months
Price Paid: $115.00
Purchased At:Price Point
Strengths:Wonderful helmet. The ventelation isn't the best but pretty close to it. It protects like no other helmet I have ever tried. I have gone over the handle bars countless times with this helmet, and not once did my head hurt, what so ever.
Weaknesses:D ring straps are kind of annoying but I heard they star on better so I don't really mind.
Similar Products Used:Giro Remedy, and some old full face I don't remember the brand.
Bottom Line:Wonderful helmet I reccommend it to anyone who likes to do drops, jumps, or anything where you land on your head a lot.
