Submitted by Michael Foreman a Weekend Warrior from Oakland
Date Reviewed: October 24, 2005
Favorite Trail:Any & All singletrack in East Bay or Marin
Duration Product Used:2 Years
Price Paid: $900.00
Purchased At:Oakley
Strengths:Super cool design, made for life (formed from one piece of Ti), great fit for athletics.
Weaknesses:Fit is soo close to your face, the lenses can fog in damp weather.
Similar Products Used:Oakley Zero & Eye Jacket
Bike Setup:Airborne Hardtail Ti, Spinergy SPOX wheel set, Rock Shox SID WC & XT & XTR group-O
Bottom Line:These are the coolest and best glasses in the world.
First the science: Formed from a single piece of Ti. Ear pieces and nose piece are attached by a joint that allows them to move independant of each other for great fit. Design actually hods lense in front of your face to mimic that actually way your eye fits in your head. This can take some time to get used to if your are like me (& your smart) and you got perscription - why spend so much money for non-perscription? I've crashed many a times and they have not fallen off yet. Even rode with then on a roller coaster and they did not fall off!
Now for the beauty: They are the coolest looking (& very futuristic) looking glasses I've ever owned. I get a lot of looks and positive comments about them. My G-Friend even likes them. Any guy will tell you, that is not an easy thing to do.
