Oakley Switch Eyewear

DESCRIPTION

The world's first optical frame to incorporate ultra-lightweight magnesium metal within a ceramic mantle. Liquefied at 1100°F, the performance alloy is injected into precision engineered molds within a timeframe of less than 30 milliseconds. Sealing the metal in a protective ceramic mantle requires a turbine that rotates at 60,000 rpm in order to disperse ceramic polymer nanoparticles. For a secure and comfortable fit, the new frame will include spring-hinge mechanisms, as well as Unobtainium® nosebombs and earsocks. Flex couplers are incorporated at strategic points in the frame geometry, tuning flexibility while retaining structural integrity. The end result is a metal frame that meets the durability requirements of sports professionals while offering all-day comfort by minimizing weight.

Look Good

Weakness:

They don't work as well as the real Switch Vision sunglasses.

You really have to work to get these to interchange. Wher on the real Switch sunglasses, all you have to do is pop them in and out. Because they are magnetic.

Strength:

cool look, sturdy and light mag frame. love the design then.

Weakness:

frame is oxidising .. turning white now... and the lens are startin to peel. probably coz i keep leaving it in car in the hot sun. but the frame material is probably flawed, magnesium oxidises way way faster than other materials.... that why mine is all rough and white and it's starting to peel off. the shop said there was nothing oakley can can do now that this is a discontinued model. so i guess i'll go out to buy the Jawbone.

awesome design, but frame material is flawed. doesnt last more than a year, if you are sweating in them.

Strength:

They are a great looking sunglass, the lens is awesome and still looks new after 7 years as my everyday glasses as the frame protects the lens really well. very light super comfortable, even with no nose combs or ear socks. The frames are indestructable

Weakness:

The ceramic starts to flake all over and it scratches pretty easily which make the glasses look very beat up altough I always use a hard case to store them. The earsocks and nose combs fell apart years ago and you cant get replacements enymore

Oakley produce hot sunglasses and the styles are constantly being updated - top quality producer. A pity the lifetime warranty isnt around any more. I would buy these again in a heartbeat, sure they are expensive but they last and do a great job

Strength:

*Construction: Extremly light, solid, and unbreakable, the ceramic mantle and the magnesium work do it at all.

*Lenses: i own the blue iridium, are very clear, nice for a biking you will think you are wearing nothing for hours of biking, also they are secure thanks to the spring hinges.

Weakness:

*Price: This ones are very expensive, they are retail for around $225, but them worth it.

What is in: Style, construction, weight, size occuped, lens clarity and color.

What is out: Price and earbombs cuz you will replace it all the time because you will like that much the shades that you will want to wear them all the time.

Strength:

The magnesium frame is light for it's size. Also, it is very strong and hard to break. The ice lense is my favorite from Oakley. The shape and feel is great because of the spring hinges.

Weakness:

The lens size could be slightly larger. It is not available in a polarized lense.

Overall, great sunglass. Worth the purchase.

Strength:

Initially very appealing, but the look doesn't last, now look off beat & very outdated.

Weakness:

Not really practical, I used my Suare wire for my reading glass big mistake I got migraine, bad headache, due the spring hinge that pressured my ear, spec is heavy, replace ment lens cost a bomb compered to Rudy Project, nose & ear piece worn too rapidly, still cost money buy, Oakley make poor quality products yet make consumer for for their poorly manufactured replacement. What has happened to the unlimited warranty? when Oakley first introduced themself in the market way back 1989? they were unknown and they provide lifetime warranty.

Bottomline I am not satisfied after purchased so many Oakley spec and has been supporting them since 1989, yet now I have to pay so much for replacement, cases, Oakley has no courtesy of supplying spec with case or pouch. Look what the competitor is doing they provide FOC spec case. Oakley wake before your down fall. I have since stop purhasing Oakley. Look how much you pay for Juliet and comes without the so called Vault? damn!@ cost anther USD30.00!!!
