Favorite Trail:Womble
Duration Product Used:Less than 1 month
Price Paid: $15.00
Purchased At:Nashbar
Strengths:Nice lenses. Cheap price. Nice bag.
Weaknesses:Cheap, poor quality plastic frame. Very small in size.
Similar Products Used:Generic ones
Bike Setup:'98 Jamis Dakota XC, '99 Z2 Atom Bomb, Alivio drivetrain.
Bottom Line:I picked these up on closeout at Nashbar because my previous pair of suglasses broke. I was excited about getting a set of glasses with polarized lenses and a lifetime warranty. When they arrived, I thought there was a mistake. The frames are very poor quality plastic and are very small. A Clifford the dog or Scooby Doo logo would go quite nicely on them. Maybe I'll just give them to my 4 year old son. I suppose they would be good for youth riders? The warranty is a joke also. You have to pay $20 for Native to honor the warranty and scratched lenses aren't a manufacturer defect so won't be fixed under warranty. On the plus side, the bag they came with is quite nice. Maybe I'll use it with my next pair of sunglasses.

Date Reviewed: May 3, 2004
Favorite Trail:Slickrock
Duration Product Used:Tested or demo'ed only
Price Paid: $30.00
Purchased At:Nashbar
Strengths:nice packaging, nice carry bag
Weaknesses:cheap construction. Cheesy plastic lenses
Similar Products Used:Ray ban, Bolle, Oakley, etc
Bike Setup:N/A
Bottom Line:These are cheap, cheesy sunglasses with easily scratched lenses. They have small frames. The lense color is pretty nice, but again, they are made out of a plastic that is easily scratched. These are most like the 6.99 wal-mart shades. Buy these glasses is if you are using someone else's VISA or you just want to feel like a newbie to the sport. Don't buy these glasses if you value quality of construction or you have to use your own money.
