Strengths:    Durable, I am brutal on glasses. These have lasted 4 years which alone is a feat!
Good look, cheap I got em half off in 2008 so if you CAN find them they likely will be a good purchase.

Weaknesses:    none yet. Maybe the rubber head "clamp" pieces degrading and breaking down over the years…but they still are there. Just the rubber "ear holders" no longer clearly say "GIRO"…but really 4 years on my noggin and this is all I can come up with. I should note - the rubber ear pieces are still there just worn down slightly.

Bottom Line:
Great buy, considering they likely will be on sale. Well made lenses, no eye strain. The fell on your head - these disappear when on, which is the sign of any great cycling equipment…you forget about the equipment and enjoy the ride!

Instigator... What to do with it?

So Ive got an instigator set up right now as a single speed with rigid fork with sun rhynolite wheelset. Im trying to think about what I want to do with it, either turn it into a fat or semi fat bike, put a 650b wheelset on it, or just get a karate monkey for a commuter/trailbike and sell the instig ... Instigator question...

Hello Everyone, I bought this Instigator a few years ago from a friend who really was cleaning out his garage of stuff he really didn't use anymore. Although it is in fine shape for tooling around it is too much of a hog. As a result of it's weight, I don't really ride it much. (I haven't actuall ... Read More »

Surly Instigator 29er: what do you think?

Hi guys, watching some videos about the new Konda Honzo, the Banshee Paradox e other models, would be nice for Surly to make an Instigator 29er. These tips: Head angle 68-70°, geometry corrected for 120-140mm forks, ISCG05, no canti but disc only, 30.9 or 31.6 seatpost diameter (no more 29.4mm), 2 ... Read More »
