I wore em' riding, golfing, swimming, hiking, boarding, skating, running and fu**ing. hehe
anyway on the 10th anniversary of these shades lasting me this long I found the coveted silver frame Arnette Ravens on eBay and the clear Hotcakes as well. I will never buy any other because of the unique style of these shades. You look at all the trendy sunglasses now and they all want to look like these classics. Arnet (before they were Arnette) started the trend of the white, black and silver frames with dark lenses in 1994. I stick with what I know and I'm sure there are cooler and better shades out there but everytime I wear these people aske me what kind of shades are those and get the most complements.
there timeless like Ray Ban Wayfares and aviators.

Picked myself up a pair of Arnette Swingers the other day. Not only do these sunglasses feel good, and look sweet, but they don't fog up, and seem pretty durable so far. First week I had them, I went to an outdoor concert, and had them kicked off my head by a rogue crowd surfer. After diving on the ground to save my 60 dollar investment, I found that there wasn't the slightest scratch on them. Nor were they tweaked or damaged. Not bad, since I've had sunglasses break on my head from the occasional crowd surfing kick to the head | Overall Rating: |

I picked up a pair of Arnette Ravens after my Oakley Trenchcoats snapped in half as I was removing them from my head. I'd slam Oakley here, but that's for another time. The Ravens have nice frames and sturdy hinges. They are so dark, though, that you should really only wear them in very bright conditions (i.e. hiking on a glacier at 14,000 feet without a cloud in the sky at high noon). The optics are a little jacked - Oakley has them beat in this category. The lenses are quite curvy; distortion is the result. If you're going to wear these on the trail, make sure your helmet is on tight for when you graze the top of your head on an overhanging limb that was a bit lower than it appeared through your sunglasses. They look fairly nice, although a little generic - Oakley has them beat for looks, too. But they are more durable and MUCH more reasonably priced. Buy Arnette if you want quality and durability for a decent price. Buy Oakley if you want some hot-looking, fragile sunglasses and you have $125 burning a hole in your pocket. | Overall Rating: |

I bought a pair of Catfish about a year an a half ago. Awesome glasses, totally comfy and didn't fog up, not to mention much more hip and less expensive than the freakin poser Oakleys. Paid around 50 bucks for mine. Most Oakleys are over 100 bucks now. What a rip. The Arnettes have awesome quality too, heck mine never scratched at all. So anyhoo I forgot mine in a store or something and bye-bye to them. Went back to the local dealer and got a pair of Swingers this time. Still only 55 bucks. Just for the hell of it, found a pair of oakleys that looked almost like the Swinger, but they wanted 125 bucks for em. Yah right! The Swingers fit different than the catfish, these seem more for day to day wear, but that's what I bought em for. If yer lookin for great shades that stay on your head for insane rides, get the Catfish... for chillin on the street get the Swingers. When I zone out and lose these or break em, I will definitely get Arnettes again. | Overall Rating: |

Arnette Ravens have to be the best pair of sunnies, you can take them rowing, fall out and they are still firmly on your head. They have anti-glare coating on the lenses to stop that annoying glare you get when riding, also the lenses are top quality. This is all for just 135 Aussie bucks how can you go wrong. I tried on various pairs of oakleys for mountain biking, rowing and running half the time while I was rowing I felt like they were going to fall off and that pissed me off in a big way, don't be a poser get a pair of 'nettes | Overall Rating: |

Arnette has stepped up and produced a pair of glasses the really answer the needs of mountain biking. I've found the frames to be nearly indestructable and am also quite impressed with the lense retention. The lenses that come in a wide array of colors were easily changed by hand but after many crashes and crushes the lenses refused to come out under any force other than that of my hands. Scratch resistance was average Gripes in order to provide the wrap around styling with a two lense frame the lenses has noticeable periphial distortion. This could be quite disturbing to those out there with 20/20 vision but for those of us who wear eyeglasses or contacts this distortion not nearly as noticable | Overall Rating: |

Arnettes Arnettes are are good really for crappy staying because on they your are head visually distortedThere the worst thing you could have on your head. Buy oakley, and keep your 20/20 vision or buy cheaper glasses Arnette is only a brand name, and has no quality to back them up. | Overall Rating: |

I didn't buy the Threats because they look weird when off the bike and because they (imo) cost too much. Instead, I got a pair of Ravens, which don't have removable lenses. The lenses are way too dark for anything except very bright sunlight, and there's some distortion around the edges because the lenses are very curvy. However, they look very cool, are quite comfortable, and don't cost both an arm and a leg.- Chuck

Arnette, I'm writing to you not to evaluate your sunglasses but rather ask about the possibilities of you sponsoring my in my motocross. I ride motocycles and am looking to start racing but my bigest problem is paying for all the costs of riding. If you would be at all interested in getting in to the motorcyle scene let me know i would be more then happy to ride for you, promoting arnettes when im riding, at school, or just hanging out. | Overall Rating: |

I've got Oakleys and Arnette Threats and the Threats win hands down - more comfort - tougher - less condensation But the foam brow guard, though a great idea, does have a tendancy to fall off. | Overall Rating: |

I bought a pair of Arnette Raven last year and they work great. Cover my eyes and sides very good, and the color of the glasss are extremely well for bright sunshine. They also work great for skiing, and finally: the look cool. | Overall Rating: |

These things are the butter! The bronze lenses work perfectly for biking in any light condition. Mine got stolen after a month, but as soon as I can afford it, I am buying a new pair. Definitely 5 chiles! | Overall Rating: |

Arnettes rule!!!, the bronze tint lenses are awesome, I had the shades for about six months when the frame snapped. I sent them back in under the 1 year warranty and within one week I got a brand new pair back in the mail with a bunch of freebies. Arnette has excellent shades and customer service. | Overall Rating: |
