Strengths:    Protects the shin

Weaknesses:    Doesn't protect the knee at all, unless you're just sliding down the hill feet first. I went over the handlebars a once (not very fast) and I was going hands and head first and my knees got scraped up. I crashed sideways, then my knee got scraped up. It's like the covers over the knees it not there.

Bottom Line:
If you bought them and haven't wrecked and you don't want your knees to be scraped up. SELL THEM and get something else!

Strengths:    Light, Cheap

Weaknesses:    Slipping down no matter what.

Bottom Line:
I'm about to purchase the Lizard Skins and give them a shot. THese haven't worked well and are a constant distraction when I ride tech terrain. A buddy has the same problem. Someone needs to make a basic, minimalist simple knee protector that's not for the DH set, but for the 40 something dude occasional riding iffy terrain.;

Strengths:    Quick to take on and off

Weaknesses:    SLIDING..These pads definitely slide down over your kneecaps, leaving them pretty much exposed. It only takes a couple of minutes actual pedaling before they've moved.

Bottom Line:
They seem fairly comfortable although they get a bit hot.The only reason I would'nt buy these again is due to the slipping/moving that occurs, what good is a knee pad that does'nt protect your knee??

Date Reviewed: October 6, 2008

Strengths:    Lighter than the 661 race pads

Weaknesses:    Ug....they move down & out on your leg, leaving all the parts they're supposed to protect vulnerable. Very uncomfy when this happens.

Bottom Line:
Not for me...but cheap.

Strengths:    Solid, good protection, protects at the rear and have saved me on a few occasions.

Weaknesses:    Move around a bit, strap behind the knee rarely stays done up and they do get pretty warm.

Bottom Line:
Not bad pads for the price I payed although I probably wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

Strengths:    Lite, simple

Weaknesses:    Everything that matters

Bottom Line:
These things were terrbile. First and only ride with them was an urban ride. They dropped down after a few pedals. First thing I did was race down a parking garage. front end washed out, fell, scraped up my knee because the guared fell down. Never used again, I borrow my roomate's race guards and they seem to stay put much better and protect more. Probably going to buy them instead...
