Strengths: Protects leg thoroughly, from knee to above shoe, front and back
stays in position
Stiff
Weaknesses: Strap hurts, it pinches behind knee
Too stiff, restrict movement which makes it hard to pedal (no problem for DH with less pedaling)Bottom Line: I recommend NOT buying these if you pedal alot, it restricts leg movement, therefore not suitable for 4cross, CROSS COUNTRY, bmx, dirtjump
recommended for steep DH trail, where you rarely pedal and mostly pedal when standing
It's pricey too, $50 compared to $20 TLD standard knee-shin guard, they looks flexible enough
Favorite Trail: anything with jumps
Duration Product Used: Less than 1 month

$50.00

Strengths: Light weightWeaknesses: Exposed knee, pads slide downBottom Line: Very light and comfortable, but they started to slide down 5 minutes into a climb exposing the upper knee. Didn't stay put going down hill either. Used for one ride only and went back to my trustee Roach guards. Gaurds not useful for 4X either, same problem with pads sliding down as soon as you hit the first jump. Also, too much material used in their construction. the pad wraps around the entire calf. Material is vented, but the extra material seems to defeat the purpose. If you ride hard and fast then these pads aren't for you. Good if your style is more laid back,"sit down and enjoy the scenery" type.

Strengths: comfy. strap on not pull on. dont slide down too often. hard shell in the front keeps your pedals from marking their territory. cover the back of your legsWeaknesses: they do slide down after about fifteen minuts of pedaling. deosnt leave your knees exposed thoughBottom Line: best shin gaurds for the money. realy comfortable. 2nd best shin gaurd sixsixone makes. (race knee/shin is number 1 though). great protection.
