Strengths: comfy, inexpensive, lightweight and coolWeaknesses: none so farBottom Line: Love these knee pads. You know as well as I do that finding the perfect knee pads are almost impossible, especially if you're looking for a lightweight, cool set for AM. I have full knee/shin pads but wanted lighter ones for AM rides that require alot of climbing also. I originally bought the RaceFace Zero pads and returned them immediately, not comfy and poor design. The Veggies were ok., a little warmer and didn't bend that well. These Rock Gardens are almost perfect for what I was looking for. They have a mesh behind so your legs can breadth and unlike the veggies, the knee cup is hard plastic. Once they're on, you really forget you're wearing them and they're the lightest pads I've ever owned without sacrificing coverage. Best of all, they were only $15 but I would've paid $50 for these.

Strengths: Slip on, and stay on. Give you that protection in the knees without hindering too much mobility, and even guard a bit of your shins. The straps are great, the 2011's have a loop on both top and bottom straps.Weaknesses: Wish they were all black.Bottom Line: Great product and cheap. Buy them.

Strengths: hard shell. could be used tele skiing.Weaknesses: needs loop on lower strap.Bottom Line: when riding, i don't notice i'm wearing them. i had a cobbler put a loop on the lower strap. they work great for me. we ride alot of wet roots and rocks up here and i like having scab free knees.they aren't a status sign anymore

Strengths: Its tough, comfy, and has a hardshell on the outside.Weaknesses: The lower strap that goes below your knee should have a loop like the upper strap. Otherwise the pad tends to slip out from underneath the lower strap. I had a shoemaker sew one on, and I've had no problems since.Bottom Line: Great knee pads, I forget they are on. Just think they overlooked putting a loop on the lower strap.

Strengths: Great fit and great protection. Hard shell covers even on the sides of my knees. Lower strap gives my upper shin protection as well. Doesnt get in the way and great mobility.Weaknesses: They are slip on, so its kinda hard to put them on without taking your pants off.Bottom Line: Great protection for a great price. Get em!
