Date Reviewed: March 26, 2009
Duration Product Used:Tested or demo'ed only
Price Paid: $35.00
Purchased At:Jenson
Strengths:decent looking, appears to be well-constructed, nice stitching, reinforced stitching on closures, ballistic nylon shin area.
Weaknesses:the shin guard plate is ***FLAT****. who has flat shins?! and the plastic is so rigid and resilient that after applying a LOT of force and bending the sucker in half, it mostly springs back. personally i'd huck these right in the trash, but my girlfriend wanted these, so i'll form the shin plates with a blow torch.

also... unvented neoprene is the best material they could come up with for the body of the shin pad? the same characteristics that make neoprene great for wet suits make it bad for shin guards.

i don't like these, either, when compared to my knucklebones. the knucklebones are longer, made entirely of ballistic nylon, and knucklebones have three flexible pieces at bottom of the guard so you get some additional protection at your foot crease and tops of ankles.
Similar Products Used:knucklebones.
Bottom Line:Poor imitation of Knucklebones.
